The two slid through a hollow passage inside a plant and arrived in a space held open by plants. It was neither large nor small, measuring exactly three hundred square meters.
Kyle approached the abandoned Teleportation Array and carefully studied the information on it. The most fundamental script used to construct it was the elves' Natural Script, which was enough to suggest that the treasures stored inside might have been left behind by elves.
"How does it look?" Velin asked eagerly.
Kyle's expression grew grave. "I'll give it a try."
Seeing this, Velin stepped aside so he would not disturb Kyle.
With a gentle wave of his hand, Kyle brushed away the dust, revealing the array's foundation. Drawing on his inherited memories, he took out a large pile of materials and began repairing the Teleportation Array.
After half an hour of analysis, Kyle worked out the functions of the individual Natural Script characters from the arrangement of their remaining traces.
This surviving Teleportation Array consisted of eighty-one Natural Script characters. Thirty-six calibrated spatial orientation, eighteen stabilized Space Teleportation, and another eighteen were related to energy.
"The Natural Script characters for spatial positioning can't be replaced, or we could easily lose the spatial coordinates."
"The eighteen characters that stabilize Space Teleportation can all be replaced with Heavenly Script. That will make it even more stable than before."
"As for these last eighteen characters, any magical script can replace them as long as it provides a steady energy supply. For stability and simplicity, Secret Script is the best choice."
Kyle wrote and sketched on paper, continually crossing things out.
It was not that he was unwilling to use Natural Script for the repairs. Rather, each character had over a thousand strokes, and every step carried a specific meaning. Even elves learning this
