The next morning, O'dor and Lavia arrived at the collapse site one after the other.
"What a disgusting aura." Lavia stared into the valley and cast a shield around herself, cutting off the foul stench.
In contrast, O'dor was eager to give it a try, almost unable to wait to enter the ruins.
"Let's go."
O'dor nodded and cast a levitation spell on everyone before heading toward the valley.
As he landed on ground paved with skulls, Velin felt somewhat disgusted, though he did not show it.
Priest Lavia directly raised her Priest Scepter high and silently recited the scriptures of the Church of Life, purifying the evil thoughts steeped in suffering and hoping they could rest in peace.
O'dor took out a specially made book. Using crimson blood as ink and a jet-black ink stick as a pen, he recorded demon script on the blank pages.
Seeing this, Kyle added a layer of protection to his lord and Priest Lavia to prevent them from being contaminated by the demon script.
Once the two had finished, the group of four officially entered the ruins.
A collapsed wall blocked their path to the lower level. Velin drew his Knight Longsword and tapped the ground, producing a dull sound.
"Pretty hard."
If this had been any other ruin, Velin would have pried up the floor and taken it back with him.
But this place was connected to demons. He had no intention of digging his own grave.
O'dor came before a thick wall and cast a spell, but it had no effect. His mana was swallowed by the pitch-black structure.
"Doesn't work?" Velin fell silent.
"Let me try."
Kyle stepped beside O'dor, wrapped his fist in Mana Energy carrying an aura of light, and with a slight exertion, punched through the wall.
