When Velin heard the recipe for Water of Mikaelronx, he gritted his teeth. Every one of those materials was extremely difficult to gather. It was hard to imagine what level the three hundred assorted Elemental Spells recorded within that Abandoned Magic Crystal were.
"Let's check the next level."
Kyle sent out an energy clone to scout ahead. The group entered a dark passage and headed for the next level of the ruins.
Not long after they left, space rippled, and a white ghost slipped out. It babbled happily as it flew toward the upper level.
The third level was an ancient arena.
Blackened bones, decayed weapons, and a thick stench of blood were scattered throughout the arena floor.
O'dor raised his right hand and said softly, "Wind."
A gale howled through the arena, sweeping the blood-red haze hanging in the air toward the surrounding stands.
Kyle stepped forward and summoned hundreds of bones from unknown demons. Drawing on the inherited memories in his mind, he began piecing them together.
Several minutes later, thirteen sets of remains had been assembled.
"Three Snake Demon skeletons, two Balrog skeletons, four Blade Demon skeletons, three incomplete scythe demon skeletons, and one skeleton that appears to belong to a Succubus." O'dor stepped forward and, based on his understanding, barely identified the demons.
"Lord O'dor, do you need any demon skeletons?"
Faced with Kyle's question, O'dor shook his head and declined. "No. I've gained enough from this exploration already."
Seeing this, Kyle sealed away the thirteen sets of bones and collected them one by one.
Lavia and Velin could not discern the origins of these demon remains, but with Kyle's memories and O'dor's experience, they could determine precisely that all of them had belonged to demons at the Soul Intent rank.
