Before a dining table, Velin had just reached for some pastries when a maid approached him.

"Yes." The maid nodded earnestly, her smile unchanged. "Please follow me."

With a trace of curiosity, Velin followed behind the maid and left the banquet hall.

The people around them seemed to have their vision obscured, turning a blind eye to the two of them openly leaving the banquet hall.

Following the maid, Velin boarded a carriage drawn by four pegasi.

With a faint sound, the carriage rose smoothly into the air like drifting clouds and sped toward a vaguely visible castle in the distance.

Velin withdrew his gaze from the window and looked at the maid again, only to find that she had already shed her black-and-white maid uniform and changed into red light armor, with an ornament on her forehead.

Facing Velin's curious scrutiny, the maid maintained a smile throughout, her eyes revealing an inscrutable calm and composure.

Perhaps sensing that he had been somewhat rude, Velin withdrew his gaze and turned to look out the window, distracting himself.
