Before long, Kyle brought back the Calamity Demon and more than a dozen demon souls.
Standing atop the city wall, Kyle crushed the demon souls before the Calamity Demon, extracting useful information from them. The sight frightened the Calamity Demon into lying prone on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.
"This is the Calamity Demon from the memory orb. Its aura is unstable. It seems it has already devoured those two Balrogs." Velin stepped on the Calamity Demon's head and spoke.
Kyle fed the useful information into a crystal ball, ground the remaining soul fragments into powder, and burned them with holy flames. Turning around, he said, "Master, would you like to try some of those more unusual Druid Spells of yours?"
Upon hearing this, Velin immediately summoned the Druid's Book and flipped toward the back.
On page two hundred and thirty-three, Velin found the spell he had long wanted to test.
Woodification—Soul Severing, a Gold-grade Spell. It used illusory branches of mana as surgical knives to "dissect" a soul, then filled the severed portions with mana. Once more than half of the target's soul had been filled with mana, it could be woodified. Using the target's remaining soul, the infused mana, and its flesh as nourishment, it produced a Woodfang Flower, which could serve as core material for a Woodification—Intelligent Puppet.
