After leaving the Command Department and meeting up with Kyle, Velin flew straight toward Floating City.
After landing at the Floating City's harbor, a Magic Puppet controlled by the tower spirit broke away from its work routine and came before them. Bowing respectfully, it said, "Young Master Velin, please follow me."
"Mm."
Led by the Magic Puppet, the two headed toward the central Mage Tower.
Compared to two years ago, the Floating City's layout had changed greatly. Velin just did not know whether the buildings had been moved according to some set pattern or deliberately rearranged by his grandfather.
On the first floor of the central Mage Tower, Velin had barely stepped inside when he saw a white creature turn toward him.
He reached out and stopped the unknown creature. After taking a closer look, Velin was immediately shocked.
"You really did eat yourself into a ball."
Looking at Xing's altered form, Velin found it hard to connect it with its former appearance.

Xing rolled its eyes and waved its two foreclaws around wildly. Combined with its round body, it looked utterly ridiculous.
"Fine, let's see what surprise you have for me." Velin crossed his arms and looked at the ball-shaped Xing, waiting to see how it would explain itself.
Having received its master's permission, Xing crawled over to Kyle, tugged at the corner of his clothes, and looked up at him with hopeful eyes.
Seeing this, Kyle smiled helplessly. He placed a hand atop Xing's head and silently chanted, "Mass-Energy Conversion."
