On the campus of the First Mage Academy, Velin wandered around hand in hand with Xuemiyya.

Velin raised a hand and pointed at the pavilion in the middle of the lake. "There."
Xuemiyya followed the direction her husband pointed and saw a young man and woman leaning against each other beneath the pavilion, whispering intimately.
"That young man is Zexia. Unless something unexpected happened, that girl should be Gabirila, the Mage Academy's 'Bloodthirsty Witch' and the daughter of Osmond O'Neal, the 'East Tower War Mage.'"
Xuemiyya narrowed her eyes, placed a finger against her lips, and asked curiously, "Velin, don't tell me you've set your sights on that East Tower War Mage."
"I have considered it." A glint flashed in Velin's eyes as he said quietly, "Gabirila is that East Tower War Mage's only daughter. As long as Zexia brings her back with him, and I ask Grandfather to help from the side, getting Osmond O'Neal to serve as a guest mage in Qixing Territory for around ten years shouldn't be a problem."
"Aren't you afraid Lord Tadius will come knocking?" Xuemiyya reminded him with a serious expression.
Velin laughed. "I'm only inviting Lord Osmond O'Neal to be a guest mage, not poaching him. For the sake of his own advancement, I believe Lord Tadius won't refuse."
For a mage on the verge of stepping into the Legendary realm, Transcendent books from the Metagea Plane would certainly pique his interest.
During this expedition, aside from several high-ranking members of the Expeditionary Army, no other noble had seized more wealth than Velin, nor
