Theresa glanced at Velin and opened the letter. The handwriting was familiar, but the contents were utterly unfamiliar.
When she saw that she had really been "sold," her little face immediately fell.
"Hahaha, what do you think? Believe it now?"
Seeing the little girl's mournful expression, Velin burst into laughter.
"Um, Sir West Wind Knight, can you let me go back?" Theresa raised her head, hope in her eyes.
Smiling, Velin mercilessly refused under Theresa's expectant gaze. "This was what your father and aunt requested, so get ready to be my apprentice obediently."
"Then... when can I go back?" Seeing that escape was impossible, Theresa asked again.
"I don't know either." Velin stroked his chin.
"Ah—"
Seeing that Theresa looked about to cry, Velin placed a hand on her head and gently stroked it as he comforted her. "In a few days, I'll take you out to have some fun."
"Really?" Theresa asked in disbelief.
"Really."
Although Velin had wanted to say no and tease the Moon Elf girl a little, he gave up on the idea when he remembered how close she had been to tears.
Afterward, Velin had Hilda arrange accommodations for Theresa and her two guards.
A short while later, only Velin and Kyle remained in the hall.
Sitting in the main seat, Velin looked at Kyle beside him and could not help sighing. "She's really rich!"
"My lord, she isn't richer than you," Kyle said mercilessly.
"I was just making an observation." Velin laughed.
A few minutes later, Velin noticed that Kyle still had not left and knew he was waiting for him.
Unfortunately, there was no way to slack off now.
Velin rose and headed for the Training Ground, preparing to practice his Soul Skill.
