The speech had worked far better than Ian had expected—far better than he could have imagined.
He had originally planned to visit the Society Library, but he decided to stay home for a few days first.
While he had the time, he sorted through what he needed to do next.
There were two main matters.
One was Elena's zero-ring wizardry.
It had already reached the expert level, and Ian planned to visit Elena again in a month.
The second was modifying the White Crystal Staff.
The Society could not provide him with military merit, so he still had to rely on this for it.
Since he intended to publish a paper at the same time, he had only a little over three months left.
In that previous body-material selection knowledge, four alchemical products contained the core knowledge of the book.
So far, he had only raised the first one to expert level. He was still far from finished.
Thus, there was no time to waste over the next three months.
He would rather set some matters aside for now than fail to complete these tasks first.
Once the paper was published, he would have plenty of time then.
But Ian had still underestimated the impact of that speech.
Starting from the next day, scholars constantly came to visit Ian, including quite a few senior scholars.
He could not exactly turn them away.
These scholars were scattered throughout every department and area of the Academy, and all of them were at least mid-stage first-ring.
There were also quite a number at late-stage first-ring, and even the occasional second-ring scholar.
There were benefits too. At least within the Academy, he now knew Wizards in nearly every department. It would be much easier to find someone to get things done in the future.
