Ian rose to Peak Second Ring, gained leadership roles in the Academy and Silver Society, and established himself as its strongest young wizard. After defeating Soren, he traveled with Edith and other wizards to Gray Tower, where the study tour began.

• Ian earned recognition from Truth Tower, joined its Review Committee, and helped expand the Silver Society while advancing his research and business.
• Ian completed Elemental Transmutation and uncovered Metatron’s inheritance, then helped decipher an underground laboratory before the Wizards found it empty.
• Kieran became acting dean and led a raid on the Winston Family, where Ian held off Allen Barnes until Kieran and other wizards captured him.
• With Kieran’s help, Ian formed the Four Symbols Core and advanced to Peak Second Ring, then became deputy minister of the Alchemy Department and vice president of the Silver Society.
• Edith returned with Gray Tower’s delegation and gave Ian knowledge about the water attribute, while Ian later defeated Soren in an arena match.
• Ian completed the Fourth Satin Body Layer, learned that Gray Tower held knowledge he needed, and boarded the Study Tour airship with Edith, Gabriel, Quentin, and the Gray Tower group.
• Ian reached Thousand Tower City, met his Gray Tower roommates, and began the study tour three days later.

Ian rose to first place in the Study Tour, advanced his Four Symbols Sacred Body, and earned the Phase Coordination Technique. He returned to find Kieran under pressure after an ambush, then defended him at the Academy assembly and defeated Una in a single blow.

• Ian mastered the Energy Integration Technique and took first place in the Study Tour’s assessments, earning the Touch of the Source and access to the Spirit Tempering Pool.
• Ian advanced through the Core Curriculum, joined the campaign against a Black Wizard stronghold, and killed Archie Stanton while helping end the threat.
• Ian claimed first place in the Second Phase assessment and used the Myriad Source Pool to strengthen his Four Symbols Sacred Body.
• Ian studied the Pattern-Eyed civilization’s techniques, joined Vincent’s research team, and deciphered a resonance method that advanced the project.
• Ian completed the Earth Core Chapter and advanced to a Pseudo-Primordial Body, then defeated Zane and received the Phase Coordination Technique from Bruno.
• Ian returned to White Stone Territory, healed Kieran, and learned that rival Academies and departments were trying to force Kieran from leadership.
• Kieran resigned and named Huo Yan as his successor, while Ian accused Una and Wade of involvement in the ambush and challenged them.
• Una trapped Ian in an iceberg, but Ian shattered it and knocked Una into a crater with one punch.
