The regular meeting ended.
Three months had passed since the last time the Mutual Aid Society had met.
"Finally, we're together again, everyone!"
Inside Ian's house, the members of the Mutual Aid Society gathered once more.
"Yeah, we're finally back!"
Logan stretched his body.
"Still alive!"
William dropped heavily into a chair, his face written all over with exhaustion.
Coro and Alfie looked much the same.
Since Emily had remained inside the Academy, she appeared to be in fairly good spirits.
"Looks like these past three months haven't been easy for you."
Ian looked at them and sighed.
"Don't even mention it. The fighting on the front lines has started, and those wandering Wizards have become even more restless. There are always wandering Wizards sneaking into the mines." Coro's eyes were still bloodshot, as though he had yet to recover.
"You only had to deal with wandering Wizards. We had to face Wizards from the Blackstone School!"
William said from the side.
The gap between school Wizards and wandering Wizards was enormous—their combat strength was several times greater.
"Was it really that dangerous?" Emily could not help asking.
William said nothing. He merely lifted his plate armor in silence.
Hiss!
Everyone immediately sucked in a breath of cold air.
A scar stretched across his body from shoulder to waist, and the wound was still tinged crimson.
"But I still have to thank Ian." William turned to look at Ian.
"Me?"
Ian, seated beside the table, was taken aback.
What was he thanking him for?
"Ian, didn't you say before that the Potions Department was preparing to send potion-makers to the front lines? Our captain pulled some strings in advance and had one transferred over. He was the one who saved my life!"
William grinned.
"That's wonderful!" Ian smiled.
