Meanwhile, in the Nine Realms, Muspelheim.
The realm of the Fire Giants.
It was called the realm of the Fire Giants, but in truth, there was only a boundless sea of fire here, without a single living creature in sight. The true realm of giants was Jotunheim. It was called this only because its ruler was Surtur, a Fire Giant born from the Eternal Fire.
At that moment, within a vast underground space, a figure shrouded in Gray Mist suddenly appeared atop a protruding rock on the wall.
"Such a perfect elemental creature. Are you interested in becoming my pet?"
A languid, seductive female voice echoed through the blazing, crimson underground chamber. Upon a stone throne, a figure wrapped in flames yet black as charred coal suddenly raised his head.
"Who goes there?!"
He was the master of fire. Yet someone had come this close to him in this underground space without him noticing?
Surtur drew his weapon with a backhand motion.
A two-handed greatsword that was likewise ablaze.
Yet the visitor was not worried. Instead, she sounded somewhat displeased. "Don't make me say it twice. Are you interested in becoming my pet? I can spare your life."
"Heh!"
Surtur laughed in fury. "Arrogant woman, do you know who I am? How dare you disrespect me like this? Kneel now, and I may spare your life!"
Mistress: "..."
Kid, you just chose the narrow path.
Through the Devouring Mist, she looked at him calmly. "So that means you refuse?"
"Fine, then."
The Gray Mist began to swell, turning everything it touched gray and white.
The flames within it were clearly still burning fiercely, yet Surtur could keenly sense that there was no longer any heat there, only bone-chilling cold.
"If you won't be a pet, then you can be food."
