A magnificent temple rose from the churning lava. Even as the molten rock slid off it, faint flames still curled around its surface.
The surrounding temperature suddenly soared, and the air visibly warped.
Scarlet flames wreathed the temple's surface, yet the three of them could clearly see a golden shadow dancing within. The golden shadow was inside the Temple of Fire. Whenever it touched the temple, scarlet runes appeared on the walls. Those runes seemed to restrain it, preventing it from escaping the temple.
The Temple of Fire reflected in Hermione's brown eyes. She watched the golden shadow and hesitantly asked, "What is sealed inside?"
Zhao Xuan nodded. "A Sun God Bird, an existence on the same level as a phoenix. Once it matures, it can be considered the supreme ruler of the fire element."
"Brother Xuan, you didn't bring us here just to look at this bird, did you?"
The shock on Ma Hongjun's face gradually faded. He scratched his head in confusion and asked Zhao Xuan.
"Shut up first!"
"Okay!"
Once Ma Hongjun promptly shut his mouth, Zhao Xuan began communicating with the temple using his Divine Sense. Hermione and Ma Hongjun had no idea what he was doing, so they could only stand quietly nearby.
Before long, they suddenly felt the world around them become utterly silent. The temple before them grew increasingly radiant, while the flames in the lava lake became ever more lively, as though they were excited, cheering, welcoming something...
Just as they were puzzled, an ethereal voice suddenly sounded beside their ears.
"Is that you, little fellow? What purpose did you have in drawing out the temple?"
A phantom figure slowly emerged from the temple. His entire body was formed from chaotic flames, yet they could clearly make out his features. Especially his
