Today was the Lantern Festival.
Before I woke up this morning, I had still been solemnly swearing to myself:
I would definitely eat lightly today. For breakfast, I would only drink black coffee and eat, at most, one tangyuan—just for the occasion.
Facts proved that one of humanity's greatest delusions was believing it could control its appetite during a holiday.
Especially when Xu Qing carried over a huge bowl of black sesame tangyuan, looked at me with crescent eyes, and said, "Happy Lantern Festival."
The little girl was just too adorable.
And the tangyuan were just too delicious.
The black sesame filling was piping hot, fragrant, sweet, and smooth. One bite sent the feeling of happiness straight to the top of my head.
The guilt came rushing up right after it.
We had originally agreed to just grab something simple for lunch, but somehow it turned into Xu Qing and me having Cantonese food at MixC.
I seriously suspected that Xu Qing's understanding of the words "grab something simple" matched mine perfectly.
When we returned to Runxi in the afternoon, Shen Yuyan was still working overtime at the company.
She had been ridiculously busy lately.
With MWC just around the corner, she handled the ecosystem partners, media messaging, developer forum, and pre-launch materials all by herself. Yet she did not seem to find it hard at all. If anything, I could tell she was enjoying it.
