Background / History

Born into Star Luo's brutal royal succession system, Da Bao was identified as Dai Weisi, a prince whose rivalry with Dai Mubai could determine the imperial throne. He initially embraced the role of an “ultimate villain,” intending to seize the Star Luo Empire, unite the continent, and kill Tang San to take his opportunities. Liu Xiaoxiao, Fan Yihuang, and the others persuaded him that altering Tang San's fate would endanger the future information on which they relied. 5 17

He became Star Luo's crown prince and eventually the sole heir after Dai Mubai relinquished the throne. Da Bao later led Star Luo forces during the war against Spirit Hall, captured Spirit City without resistance, and entered the Pope's Palace in search of the Rakshasa inheritance. 36 109 387

After ten years of Rakshasa trials, Da Bao reached Level 99 and defeated Di Tian in the Land of Great Beasts, completing the path to godhood. 121 He subsequently chose not to bring Zhu Zhuyun with him when departing for the God Realm, a decision that left their relationship strained after his long absence. 128 141

In a later identity as Dai Huabin, Da Bao's memories awakened, causing him to regard Dai Huabin as a separate, no-longer-existing person. He revealed himself to Huo Yuhao as one of the Tang Sect's Ten Sages and deliberately provoked Huo Yuhao to focus on becoming stronger rather than pursuing immediate revenge. 159

Appearance

Da Bao is a large-framed, handsome young man with a cold bearing. His base appearance carries several White Tiger traits even before full Martial Soul Possession. 153

  • Predominantly white hair with several conspicuous black strands. 153
  • Four forehead markings—three horizontal and one vertical—forming the character for “king.” 153
  • Deep-blue double pupils; later described with heterochromatic eyes during combat states. 153 535
  • Larger and more muscular than peers of his age. 153
  • In White Tiger Vajra Transformation, develops black stripes, enlarged tiger paws, silver claws, golden radiance, and blood-red eyes. 153
  • His White Tiger Ultimate Transformation can reach one hundred meters in height, with black-and-gold fur and an aura compared to that of a god. 408

Personality

Da Bao was initially bluntly ambitious, cold, and willing to consider killing Tang San for profit and power. He openly styled himself as a villain and treated the struggle for the Star Luo throne as an opportunity rather than a burden. 17

He is also highly pragmatic. His choice to leave Zhu Zhuyun behind rather than preserve a relationship doomed by different lifespans reveals a willingness to make painful decisions to avoid future regret. 141 In battle, he favors direct pressure, instantaneous explosive power, and decisive close combat. 263 535

Despite the White Tiger's wildness and his aggressive reputation, Da Bao has a delicate disposition and prefers music to cultivation or combat. He finds forests, birdsong, and ocean waves more restful than the valley where he trains among divine-beast remains. 973

Abilities & Skills

White Tiger Martial Soul

Da Bao's primary Martial Soul is the White Tiger, a powerful assault-type beast spirit centered on overwhelming physical force and stacked transformations.

  • White Tiger Fierce Light Wave — ranged spirit-power attack used against Tang San, Huo Yuhao, and other opponents. 21 155 219
  • White Tiger Body Protection Barrier — defensive enhancement that can block powerful attacks, including Silver Moon Divine Light. 219 584
  • White Tiger Vajra Transformation — dramatically strengthens his body, claws, defense, and physical power. 153 155
  • White Tiger Meteor Shower — barrage-type attack used to seal movement or strike multiple targets. 21 246
  • White Tiger Domain — reinforces his imposing presence while weakening an enemy's fighting spirit. 96
  • White Tiger God-Slaying Strike — devours an incoming attack and converts its power into Da Bao's counterattack. 121

White Tiger Ultimate Transformation

Da Bao combines five enhancement abilities—White Tiger Body Protection Barrier, White Tiger Vajra Transformation, White Tiger Demon God Transformation, White Tiger True Body, and White Tiger God of Light Transformation—into his strongest White Tiger state. 339

  • The combined amplification is described as possessing the power of a Million-Year Soul Ring. 339
  • He retains human form through True Body Possession rather than transforming fully into a White Tiger. 339
  • During his battle with Di Tian, the transformation raised him to a hundred-meter black-and-gold form with god-like pressure. 408
  • Da Bao deliberately prioritized maximizing the strength of individual Hundred-Thousand-Year transformations over acquiring additional spirit abilities. 408

Hell Spirit Cat and Hell White Tiger

Da Bao possesses Twin Martial Souls: the White Tiger and Hell Spirit Cat. Through Tai Chi Divine Art, he harmonizes their opposing bloodlines and can create a Hell White Tiger state. 534 973

  • Combines the Hell Spirit Cat's speed with the White Tiger's power and defense. 534 584
  • Can use the spirit abilities of both Martial Souls simultaneously once his Yin-Yang energies are synchronized. 584 973
  • His Hell White Tiger became increasingly tangible and powerful after his Tai Chi Divine Art reached great completion. 535
  • The state is not equivalent to a complete Martial Soul Fusion Skill until he can use both Martial Soul Avatars simultaneously. 584

Tai Chi Divine Art and Ancient Martial Arts

Da Bao uses Tai Chi Divine Art to control, redirect, and unify the power of his two Martial Souls.

  • Redirected his Soul King-era self's Tyrant Blade Slash with black-and-white Tai Chi energy during an assessment. 483
  • Enables simultaneous use of both Twin Martial Souls rather than conventional switching. 534
  • Has been integrated into mecha combat, allowing Da Bao to defeat seven enemy mechas in a single battle. 495
  • His incomplete mastery was identified as a decisive limitation in his loss to Lan Fuzi. 530
  • Also practices Tiger Form Fist from Xing Yi Quan under one-thousandfold gravity. 973

Rakshasa Inheritance

Da Bao inherited the Rakshasa God's trials and power, which strengthened him but also exposed him to extreme negative emotions. 121 246

  • Passed the Rakshasa Bridge by using White Tiger transformations, Golden Blood Boil, and Golden Sacred Realm to suppress negative emotions. 246
  • Completed the first two Rakshasa Trials and gained Rakshasa Affinity. 246
  • Wields ultimate evil power through his second Soul Core. 408
  • Uses the Rakshasa Demon Scythe, a Pseudo-Divine Artifact capable of contending with Liu Xiaoxiao's Void Breaker Sword. 534

Spiritual Power and Laws

Da Bao possesses high-level spiritual power and extensive understanding of laws derived from his Martial Souls and prior godhood.

  • Uses Purple Demon Eyes; advanced them to the Myriad Manifestations Realm. 973
  • Possesses Spirit Abyss Realm spiritual power and Mental Detection capabilities. 584
  • Has comprehended no fewer than eleven laws and more than thirty profound meanings, including the Laws of Destruction, Death, Yin, and Yang. 973
  • Can use divine consciousness to distinguish allies and enemies across an entire battlefield. 1054

Ring Detonation

Da Bao can use the Great Sumeru Hammer's Ring Detonation technique to temporarily reach god-level power.

  • Detonated fused Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Rings during his second battle against Di Tian. 409
  • The technique removes the detonated rings for three days and carries a thirty-six-day minimum recovery period before safe reuse. 409
  • The backlash is severe even for Da Bao's powerful physique. 409

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Rakshasa Demon Scythe — Pseudo-Divine Artifact and Da Bao's principal divine weapon. 408 534
