Background

Xiao Wu was once a Soft Bone Demon Rabbit in the Star Dou Great Forest. After Spirit Hall Soul Masters pursued and gravely wounded her, the lingering injuries left her unable to withstand her Hundred-Thousand-Year Thunder Tribulation. She therefore chose the difficult path of cultivating into a human. Before leaving, she was saved by the passing Star Luo princess Dai Ya, but departed without saying goodbye so her presence would not endanger her benefactor. She eventually went to Notting City. 203

She later attended Shrek Academy and became one of the Shrek Seven Monsters. Alongside her companions, she won the Continental Advanced Soul Master Tournament by defeating Spirit Hall Academy’s Golden Generation. After graduation, the group agreed to reunite at Shrek Academy in five years. 195 254

During her return to the human world, Xiao Wu remains in the Star Dou Great Forest with Da Ming and Er Ming, whose excessive concern over her wellbeing frustrates her. Da Ming brings Ye Tian to the Lake of Life to treat Xiao Wu’s supposed illness, only for Ye Tian to recognize that Da Ming and Er Ming have mistaken a normal human physiological condition for a serious disease. Xiao Wu becomes embarrassed and annoyed by their overreaction. 191 192
