In the Fourth Layer Space of the Nation of Disorder, Nimrod leaned against The Throne and looked down at Wilshire before him.
"My lord, Graia has signed the contract, agreeing to relinquish its share of resource allocations in the Ni-Delina Subsector in exchange for Your blessing, allowing it to establish a new Forge World in the Ghoul Stars."
"The Graia Crown has already launched and is heading for the Eastern Galaxy."
Nimrod nodded slightly. He needed the Graia Crown to contend with the Predatory Forge World.
Although the Ramillies-class Star Fortress possessed equivalent firepower and could serve as a strategic node, its mobility was far inferior.
He had brought Graia into the Ghoul Stars partly to accelerate the development of that remote frontier, and partly in the hope that the Morning Star Titan Legion would one day assume responsibility for defending an entire region.
The xenos threat within the Ghoul Stars was far greater than in the Imperium's central territories.
His plan to bring Varia Superior into the future Rosicky Sector was based on the same consideration.
"Every Forge World has signed the notarized Steel Agreement with the mark unique to its Fabricator-General and lineage."
Nimrod nodded faintly. With a raised hand, black mist swallowed agreement after agreement.
"Well done." He smiled. He had achieved another strategic objective during the Great Birthday Celebration.
The Iron Ring had been united under his will. Although some Forge Worlds, such as Atar-Median, still in practice pledged allegiance to the Imperium, that was enough for Nimrod.
Now that they had boarded his chariot, they could forget about getting off.
Nimrod would bind each of them to his interests.
Wilshire clasped his hands and held them inverted. "All glory belongs to You."
Maintaining that pious gesture, he continued his report.
"The Second Legion suffered a
