After Malena nodded her assent, she opened the star chart and confirmed the location of the A-068 system once more.

Nimrod had chosen this system for an important reason: it appeared both on the star chart from Vostonia Altar 18 and on the Flao star chart.

Although this system held little appeal for the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Flao often raided it.

One planet in the system was called the Crystal Illusion Realm by them, named for the vast quantities of crystal it contained.

Nimrod switched communication channels and sent Bukayo a message, telling him to take men and stand guard outside Room A-001.

No one liked having their mind controlled, so Nimrod did not establish a direct mental link with Malena. He was confident that the instant the female Psyker encountered danger, he would sense it at once.

Malena sat down on the floor and entered a meditative state.

She did not have a Navigator's third eye, and the method she used was essentially similar to divination.

Malena's consciousness spread toward the direction where she sensed the waves, then seeped into the Great Ocean, which was formed from formless colors, nameless emotions, and causeless dimensions.

Nimrod's powerful mind, the Warriors' intense emotions, and the crew's primal impulses gave rise to turbulent ripples that pushed her forward.

Bathed in aetheric energy, Malena felt renewed, but she did not lose herself in it and began searching for her target.

When she actively performed divination, she would try to find future fragments within the tides that revealed fate.

Her skill in foresight was not yet capable of catching the Threads of Fate. She could only capture incomplete fragments, usually a fleeting glimpse of some moment in the future.
