Shadow of the Throne, Primarch's office.
Nimrod leaned back against the throne as he listened to the reports from Chief Librarian Thomas and Chief Chaplain Pat.
Twenty-five Alphas...
Alpharius and Omega, you really knew how to seize an opportunity!
Fortunately, I had prepared for this long ago. Using Omega's blood as material, I researched a magical item capable of identifying Alphas.
After pondering for several seconds, he gave the order. "Launch a Legion-wide investigation. Find every infiltrating Alpha."
He sent another Thought Impulse to Pat. "You and your Court Earls, use Dream Modification. Make them believe in me, make them think they are our spies who have already won Alpharius's trust."
Nimrod did not immediately execute the Alphas. On one hand, he did not want to alert Alpharius and Omega. On the other, he hoped to use them in turn to mislead Alpharius and Omega, even Horus.
Pat's eyes lit up as he imagined Alpharius and Omega stepping into the trap and dying in shocked despair.
Good thing I did not make a decision on my own. Otherwise, I would have affected my lord's grand plan.
He bowed together with the others before the Black Emperor. "As You will it!"
"My lord." Arsena Dunn glanced at the Data Slate and began his report.
"I have compiled the Legion's casualties on Murder. A total of 1,493 were killed in action."
"Of those, the 10th Battalion suffered the greatest losses, with 852 deaths."
Nimrod nodded. All three companies of the Blood Angels had been wiped out, while the five companies Sanguinius had brought suffered more than four hundred casualties.
The Luna Wolves, as the main force in the southern hemisphere, suffered more than two thousand deaths.
Because of my arrival, the six-month war on Murder was shortened to three months.
