Yu Tianheng's Age

Recently, many readers have brought up this issue.

I based this on the original novel's Chapter 52, "Eight Spider Lances, Deciding Victory and Defeat (Part Two)."

It clearly stated that Dugu Yan was twenty years old.

The original text read: "From childhood to adulthood, Dugu Yan had rarely cried. The past twenty years of her life had almost all been smooth sailing."

And within the Imperial Fighting Team, Yu Tianheng was not only the strongest in cultivation, but also the oldest.

Based on that, I inferred that Yu Tianheng had to be at least twenty. To emphasize how awesome the protagonist was, I set his age at twenty-two.

Additionally, the original novel's Chapter 48, "Imperial Fighting Team (Part Two),"

mentioned that all seven members of the Imperial Fighting Team looked to be in their early twenties.

The original text read: "At this moment, there were only seven people in the room, seven people with their own distinct characteristics. All of them looked to be just over twenty."

Since soul masters generally looked younger than their actual age, unless they were someone weathered by life like Tang Hao, and since the Imperial Fighting Team belonged to the noble class and had never even faced a life-and-death crisis, I believed that their twenties were most likely their real ages.

Of course, it was also possible that the original novel had contradicted its own established settings.

The reason so many readers have mentioned Yu Tianheng's age, yet I never changed it, was because of this.
