Background and History
Ah Yin and Tang San
Tang Hao loved Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor. After Ah Yin's sacrifice, she left behind both a Soul Bone and a seed; Tang Hao hid and planted the seed in the Star Dou Great Forest. It finally sprouted when Tang San was six years old. 104
He was Tang San's father and raised him through periods of severe hardship. Tang Hao later recognized that Tang San's attempts to gain strength for Xiao Wu mirrored his own desperation when Ah Yin had been taken from him. 68 107
Defense of Tang San and Xiao Wu
When Yue Guan captured Tang San and Xiao Wu, Tang Hao intervened with the Clear Sky Hammer, shattering Yue Guan's Martial Soul Avatar in a single strike and exposing his Level 95 cultivation. 71
He subsequently faced Yue Guan, Gui Mei, Dugu Bo, Yu Yuanzhen, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong while protecting Tang San and Xiao Wu. Although he used Ring Detonation to force his enemies back, the technique's backlash aggravated his injuries and devastated his Soul Rings. 73 74
Decline and Ah Yin's Recovery
After the second Ring Detonation, Tang Hao's first three Soul Rings shattered during his escape, permanently reducing him from a Titled Douluo to a Level 75 Soul Saint. He lost his right leg, much of his hair turned white, and his former imposing bearing deteriorated into that of a crippled old man. 95
When Ah Yin's Blue Silver Grass was taken, Tang Hao exchanged Ah Yin's Soul Bone to recover her. He and Tang Xiao complied only after Yue Guan invoked authorization from Qian Daoliu. 104 107
Final Conflict with Yu Xiaowei
Believing Yu Xiaowei responsible for Ah Yin's loss and the suffering of his family, Tang Hao captured Liu Erlong, Flender, and others from Blue Tyrant Academy to lure Yu Xiaowei into a trap. He intended to eliminate the outstanding heirs of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. 137 139
Despite his weakened cultivation, Tang Hao initially pressed Yu Xiaowei with Disorderly Splitting Wind. Yu Xiaowei broke the technique with Internal Radiation, then activated Crimson Lotus Form after Tang Hao believed his Soul Power depleted. 139
Tang Hao made a final life-risking attack by combining his Martial Soul Avatar, Great Sumeru Hammer, and Ring Detonation. Crimson Lotus Form endured the strike, and Yu Xiaowei defeated him with the Burning Heat Ray before killing him. 140 141
Appearance
Following the destruction of his Soul Rings, Tang Hao became a heavily weathered, one-legged man. He could still stand straight without a crutch when preparing for battle, but his missing right leg, white-streaked hair, and wrinkles reflected the price of Ring Detonation. 95 107 139
- Missing right leg; later moved and fought with only his left leg. 95 139
- Black hair turned mostly white after his cultivation collapse. 95
- Wielded a massive Clear Sky Hammer marked by red patterns during his strongest techniques. 71 140
- Manifested white bone armor through Soul Bone skills. 73 139
Personality
Tang Hao was fiercely devoted to Tang San and Ah Yin. His protection of Tang San and Xiao Wu was driven by memories of Ah Yin's fate, and he was willing to destroy his own Soul Rings rather than abandon them. 73 74
His losses left him bitter, grieving, and increasingly ruthless. After Ah Yin was taken, he saw little meaning in living without the strength to recover her; later, he used hostages to force Yu Xiaowei into battle. 104 137
Even in defeat, Tang Hao remained proud and defiant. He refused to beg for mercy after being mortally wounded by Yu Xiaowei. 141
Abilities & Skills
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao wielded the Clear Sky Hammer, regarded as the strongest Tool Martial Soul in the world. Even after his cultivation fell to Soul Saint level, his combat experience and hammer techniques made him far more dangerous than an ordinary Soul Saint. 139
- Destroyed Yue Guan's Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum Martial Soul Avatar with a single hammer strike at Level 95. 71
- Used a hammer strike powerful enough to create tremors felt as far away as Heaven Dou City. 74
- Continued to contest Yu Xiaowei in close combat despite his crippled body and weakened Soul Power. 139
Disorderly Splitting Wind
A Clear Sky Sect ultimate technique that chained successive hammer strikes together, with every blow becoming stronger than the last. 139
- Created a pulling force that made it difficult for Yu Xiaowei to escape the sequence. 139
- Its later strikes could reach Soul Douluo-level power even with Tang Hao reduced to Level 75. 139
- Was interrupted when Yu Xiaowei released Internal Radiation. 139
Ring Detonation and Great Sumeru Hammer
Tang Hao could detonate his Soul Rings to empower the Great Sumeru Hammer at immense personal cost. 73 74
- His first Ring Detonation broke Yue Guan and Gui Mei's Polar Stillness Domain and severely injured both Titled Douluo. 74
- A second activation forced four Titled Douluo to flee but caused his lower-ranked rings to crack and his condition to collapse. 73 74
- His final activation shattered his five remaining non-red Soul Rings and still failed to overcome Yu Xiaowei's Crimson Lotus Form. 140
Soul Bones
Tang Hao possessed multiple high-quality Soul Bones, including inherited Soul Bones. Their defensive abilities were central to his survival against attacks that would otherwise have killed him. 113 141
- Used a white bone armor to shield Tang San and Xiao Wu from Dugu Bo's poison domain. 73
- Survived Yu Xiaowei's Burning Heat Ray long enough to remain alive after the attack, though his body was catastrophically damaged. 141
- Surrendered Ah Yin's Soul Bone in exchange for Ah Yin's recovered Blue Silver Grass. 107
