The sound-activated lights clicked on one after another with Tiandao's footsteps.
Under the warm yellow light, flakes of paint rustled down from the walls on either side of the corridor, exposing the mottled red bricks beneath.
The old mailbox at the stairwell corner was plastered with yellowed flyers. The corner of the topmost "Appliance Repair" notice had curled up in the wind, revealing the words "Moving Services" underneath.
Enhanced by the Movie Edition's ultra-high-definition visuals, the Dimensional Audience inexplicably felt as though they had traveled back to the '90s.
Meanwhile, as Tiandao headed toward Room 302, he spoke to himself.
"The so-called Frost God is, in essence, nothing more than a fusion of countless specific beliefs."
"And whether belief or dreams, both are merely emotional anchors humans place upon some impractical fantasy."
Tiandao's voice was not loud, yet it rang especially clearly through the quiet hallway.
He seemed to be talking to himself, yet he also seemed to be passing some sort of "information" to the Dimensional Audience beyond the Dimensional Screen.
As he spoke, Tiandao stopped before the Room 302 plaque.
The tin numbers had rusted over, and a piece was missing from the lower-right corner of the "3," blown off during a typhoon years ago.
Tiandao looked at the weathered plaque, and a meaningful depth shone in his childlike black eyes.
".Therefore, there was never any possibility of this ritual failing from the very beginning."
"Since Liuli could weave dreams, she could naturally weave a belief that was almost real."
"The only difference was whether the one ultimately guiding this beautiful dream would be Liuli—or some God."
At that, Tiandao could not help but chuckle, as though he had thought of something amusing.
