The venue for the charity gala in Martial Arts Heavenly Capital blazed with light. The enormous stage had been decorated to feel both warm and grand, colored light strips wound around the supports, and Liuli's latest music video played on loop across the backdrop screen.
Having just arranged late-night snacks for the staff, Jing Liuli accepted the sheet music handed over by her assistant and leaned against the sofa at the edge of the stage, flipping through it.
Her purple hair was loosely gathered into a bun, the ends draping over her shoulders. Her usual sweetly naive air had faded, replaced by some of the elegant poise she carried onstage.

Jing Liuli waved a hand, pinched up a mango gummy, and popped it into her mouth. With puffed cheeks, she said indistinctly, "Oh, right. Remember to keep my hot mango drink warm. I want it after rehearsal."
