Background / History

Ding Yun was adopted by Li Buyi as a child after being found among beggars. He was an extraordinary martial prodigy who grasped techniques with minimal instruction and surpassed Li Buyi's other disciples in talent. 163

His future was derailed by his relationship with Yun Feifei, the Saintess of Guiyun Tower. Seeking spiritual medicine to please her, Ding Yun ventured into the deep mountains, made a grave mistake, and suffered an injury that damaged his dantian and foundation. His cultivation stopped advancing and later declined; he also believed he had deeply disappointed Li Buyi. 72 163
