Inside a grand yet gloomy hall, a faint hissing suddenly broke the silence. Then, without warning, the torches around the hall ignited at once. Their flickering flames tore through the darkness, outlining the great hall.
The instant the flames lit up, three illusory figures carrying terrifying auras suddenly descended. At the center stood a figure whose white beard could vaguely be seen hanging down to his chest. His face was aged and withered, and he wore an exceedingly plain Mage Robe without the slightest ornamentation. Yet beneath those seemingly ordinary robes lay boundless power.
To the old man's left stood an indescribably beautiful elf woman. Her features were as exquisite as if sculpted by a god, unlike anything that should exist in the mortal world. Her eyes were deep, clear, and mysterious. Her graceful figure and every movement carried a natural elegance.
To the old man's right stood a towering middle-aged man clad in imperial robes and crowned upon his head. His tiger-like eyes gleamed sharply, and his upright frame was as solid and imposing as a mountain. With those three illusory figures merely standing there, the hall seemed to have endured a ferocious battle. An invisible tempest swept across the room, tearing countless black fissures through space as they spread wildly in every direction. Wherever they passed, the walls and pillars of the hall groaned painfully, cracks spreading across them.
At last, the old man in the center helplessly broke the silence with a bitter smile.
