When Chen Xi returned to the 40K era, three months had already passed.

Although he could set the time flow to 1:1, Chen Xi kept it at 1:100 most of the time.

Nothing much had changed on Rostov II over those three months. Aside from two cities under construction, everything was as it had been before he had "logged off."

If anything had changed, it was that the four Imperial Navy light cruisers originally stationed around the starport had departed.

Although Rostov II had been incorporated into the Imperial Navy's patrol routes through the Ecclesiarchy's mediation and was thus considered under the Navy's protection, Imperial Navy patrols normally covered entire sectors, and they were perpetually short on ships.

So, after replenishing their food and water supplies, the Navy's four light cruisers had set off.

Now, the only vessels in Rostov II's orbital berths were the Ecclesiarchy Ship Pavel had arrived on, the Transport Ship that had brought the Lingguang Family, and Chen Xi's own frigate.

"Hm? Why is there another ship in orbit?" Chen Xi looked up at the sky. Thanks to the generally massive size of Imperial voidships, even from the ground, one could clearly see the enormous starship moored in low orbit.

"That is an Inquisition Black Ship." The Servo-skull promptly supplied the information.

"An Inquisition Black Ship? When did it arrive? What is its purpose?" Chen Xi looked at the Servo-skull and asked for further details.

Although his character piece remained under automated control while he was "logged off," and he received a written briefing on events when he "logged in," such reports did not include the finer details.

"The Inquisition has come for the Blessed Wine, and to raise your Inquisitor rank," the Servo-skull answered.
