After the oppressive silence had lingered for what felt like a century, Grand Master Azrael finally raised the hands he had kept folded atop the stone table. That slight movement broke the deadlock and instantly drew every eye in the chamber.

"Inquisitor," his voice was lower than before, bearing the caution of deep consideration, "the clues you have presented... do indeed reveal certain connections that cannot be ignored."

He did not render a verdict at once. Instead, he looked toward the colleagues on either side of him, his gaze like a probe, as though weighing the scales within each Grand Master's heart. Then he said, "Please leave Helm's Hold with your attendant for the moment, and allow me to confer with my fellow members of the Inner Circle."

Chen Xi calmly inclined his head, showing no objection. He turned decisively and left the grand hall alongside his cloaked attendant. The heavy Adamantium doors slowly closed behind them, sealing the hall off from the outside world.

He slammed a fist down on the stone table with a dull boom. "For ten thousand years, we have relied on silence and vigilance, not the whispers of outsiders!"
