Gyokko steadied himself again and touched the arm that had healed after being broken, unable to hide his astonishment.
His true body might have looked soft, but it was actually as hard as diamond. Yet the moment he had touched Hawking's armor, his arm had been snapped by the impact.
That could only mean the armor Hawking wore was far harder than diamond.
"This guy is definitely not an ordinary person."
Gyokko's instincts told him that Hawking might be more than just a doctor.
How could a normal human possess so many powerful weapons? And his reaction speed when donning that armor had been wrong as well.
So, he decided to get serious and go all out.
"Complete Form."
He crawled fully out of his pot, his body rapidly transforming. Seven or eight pairs of infant arms merged into a pair of powerful light-blue arms with webbed fingers, while his lower body became that of a snake.
"Blood Demon Art: Divine Hands!"
In his complete form, Gyokko flashed and reappeared behind Hawking. Raising his hand, he pressed it toward Hawking's armor.
In this form, his hands possessed godlike power. Anything they touched, living or nonliving, would turn into fish.
"Aah!!!"
Yet when his hand pressed against Hawking's armor, the armor unexpectedly remained unchanged. Gyokko froze in shock.
Then countless bolts of lightning struck him, making him howl in agony.
"How could this be?"
He flashed away and relied on a demon's regeneration to restore his charred body. Disbelief filled Gyokko's face.
It was the first time his Divine Hands had failed to work after touching something.
What he did not know was that Hawking's armor was not merely hard. It was a Gold Cloth blessed by a true goddess, and Hawking had constantly been tempering
