Watching Captain Marvel, whom he had blasted away with a full-power Kamehameha, merely shake her head before charging back in, Hawking frowned deeply.

That made sense. Captain Marvel of the Main Universe could blow up a Kree Universe Battleship with her bare body. Even if Captain Marvel of Universe 838 was somewhat weaker, she was still not someone his current level of Kamehameha could defeat.

Storm and Cyclops were no match for her either.

Besides, Maria Rambeau in the Main Universe had married early and had a daughter. Clearly, unlike Carol Danvers, she was not particularly uninterested in marriage and love.

That also explained why Captain Marvel, at this point in time, was not in space helping other planets enslaved by the Kree, but had instead remained on Earth to help Nick Fury.

"Triple Afterimage Fist!"

After recovering from his shock, Hawking attacked again.

Whether Captain Marvel and Nick Fury were married or not, they were both enemies he needed to defeat right now.

Leaving behind three afterimages to confuse her, Hawking's real body flashed above Captain Marvel. With both hands raised, he chopped fiercely down at her neck.

His target was the brainwave interference device around Captain Marvel's neck.

Even if this strike could not defeat Captain Marvel, destroying the brainwave interference device would allow Professor X's mind control to take effect.

He did not believe Captain Marvel could be completely immune to Professor X's mind control.

However, Captain Marvel's strength still exceeded his expectations. Her figure flashed, evading his attack, and she reached up to grab the back of his clothes, lifting him into the air.

"Your speed is indeed impressive, but it isn't enough to fool me. Since you refuse to listen, I can only knock you out first."

Seeing Captain Carter and Black Widow locked in a grueling battle while more than half of Mei's ordinary S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had already been taken out, Captain Marvel stopped wasting time and raised her hand to knock Hawking unconscious.

"Looks like this is the only way!"

Faced with such a desperate situation, Hawking held nothing back any longer.

He controlled his tail to knock the Mickey Mouse sunglasses off his face, then stared directly at the round full moon in the sky.

"Thump. Thump-thump-thump-thump."

Hawking's eyes turned blood-red as he roared at the moon. An uncontrollable fury and urge for destruction flooded his mind, constantly telling him: destroy, destroy everything.

If he were merely the low-class warrior Sun Goku, he would have completely lost his mind by now.

Fortunately, aside from Sun Goku's personality, the Protagonist Template still left Hawking himself in control of his consciousness, allowing him to retain a tiny shred of clarity.

Even though Captain Marvel immediately released the energy within her body, she was still blasted away in a single hit.

With another roar, Hawking leaped with all his might. He actually caught up to the Captain Marvel who had been sent flying, clasped his hands together, and smashed her down with tremendous force.

What followed was a savage pounding after she hit the ground, along with a frenzied barrage of energy waves from his mouth.

Thirteen-year-old Goku had climbed Korin Tower and defeated Mercenary Tao. His combat power should have exceeded 120, reaching around 140, since Mercenary Tao's combat power was 120.

After Great Ape Transformation multiplied his combat power tenfold, it would reach around 1,400. That level was already close to Raditz.

Raditz's combat power was 1,500. Under normal circumstances, he alone could destroy the civilization of an entire planet.

And King Piccolo, with only 260 combat power at the time, had conquered the technologically advanced capital of Dragon Ball Earth by himself. The energy attack he unleashed at full power during his final battle with Goku had nearly produced the effect of a mushroom cloud.

So Hawking in his Great Ape form truly had the strength to fight Captain Marvel of Universe 838.
