Sometimes, when studying Harry's memories, Hawking had a strange impression: even if some spells from the wizarding world failed when cast, the results did not seem all that bad.

Because sometimes, a failed spell was even more powerful than a successful one.

For example, if he really used an unmastered Memory Charm against an enemy and turned them into an idiot, that would still be pretty effective.

A buffalo would be bad enough. If it turned into a tiger, lion, elephant, Viper, or even a Blue Whale from the sea, that would be a real disaster.

"Hawking, you really didn't need to come. Erik and I are enough to handle any situation."

After the plane took off, Professor X spoke to Hawking.

Although Hawking was powerful and exceptionally skilled in combat, he was still a child. Professor X wanted him to do what children his age should do: study well and play happily with the other children.

Matters that adults should bear responsibility for could be handled by adults like them.

At present, only Wolverine, Storm, Phoenix, Cyclops, Colossus, and Professor X knew about Little Hawking's situation. He had not even told Magneto, and had instructed the other five to keep Little Hawking's secret.

"Hold on tight!"

At Mystique's warning from the cockpit, the X-Jet rapidly took off, turned invisible, and flew toward Washington.

Cyclops, Storm, and the others had all remained at the school this time, in case it came under attack again after they left.

If they wanted mutants to integrate into normal human society, merely establishing a Mutant School and teaching students to control their abilities freely was far from enough.

In the future, all matters related to mutants would be handled by that department.

After all, not every parent reacted with fear and disgust upon learning that their child was a mutant.

A considerable number of parents loved their children deeply. Even knowing they were mutants, they still hoped their children could have wonderful lives and bright futures.

And among those parents, there were surely some who were high-ranking government officials and members of society's upper class.

To help their children freely control their abilities and prevent those abilities from causing danger, Professor X could easily persuade those parents to send their children to his school.

Likewise, through those children's parents, he could influence the government to change its attitude toward mutants and push for the establishment of a new department concerning mutants.

Hank was currently in charge of this matter, and he had already achieved considerable results.

If not for Stryker controlling Nightcrawler to assassinate the president, Professor X might have achieved his goal within three to five years.

Once the Mutant Affairs Department was successfully established, any future cases like Stryker capturing mutants for experiments would become illegal. They could then join human forces in eliminating them.

They could also use legitimate reasons and peaceful means to secure sufficient benefits for all mutants.

But now, as long as they explained things clearly, the problem should not be too serious.

"Hmph."

Magneto merely snorted and shook his head.

Naturally, he knew Charles was working on this Mutant Affairs Department, but he had little faith in it and was even strongly opposed to it.

In his view, Charles was digging his own grave. Unless humanity's upper ranks were all replaced by mutants, the so-called Mutant Affairs Department would be nothing more than a blade humans could use against mutants.

Hawking also remembered that there was indeed an exceptionally capable scientist among the mutants. He had initially been a CIA scientist before later joining the X-Men.

Professor X's Cerebro, the invisible X-Jet, and the combat simulation room all seemed to have been created by Beast. He also had a profound understanding of genetics.

That guy also seemed to have been secretly in love with Mystique all along.
