Midnight, two hours after the Bonfire Party ended, Hawking returned to his room with a satisfied look on his face.
The Bonfire Party at Mutant School was actually quite interesting.
All the students were Mutants with all kinds of bizarre abilities. They worked together to display their powers during the party, making it feel like a Magic Feast.
As for the dancing, Wanda had basically led him through the entire thing.
After all, he had not attended a single class in the past three years, including dance, music, and art.
Of course, what satisfied him most was the food.
For the annual Bonfire Party, Professor X had spent quite a bit of money buying plenty of excellent ingredients. The food was far better than what they usually had in the cafeteria.
Though the cafeteria food was actually pretty good too.
"Now that I'm full and satisfied, I can go talk Professor X into something. Oh, no, I mean, go have a chat with him."
He was going to New York City to earn Justice Points, so he definitely had to let Professor X, the Headmaster, know.
If he could gain the Headmaster's support, his future actions would be much easier, and he could avoid plenty of unnecessary trouble.
As for how to persuade Professor X, he had already prepared a whole set of arguments.
Although he could not treat the plotlines from his Previous Life as gospel, he could still draw on them. In particular, the personalities and habits of each character would not change much and could serve as references.
His intelligence might not have been particularly high, but with that information as a foundation, some careful planning should still give him a decent chance of success.
Even if he failed, it would not matter much. Given his current value, if he secretly went to New York to fight crime and earn Justice Points, Professor X might be unhappy about it, but he would not do anything to him.
Because he knew that what Professor X feared most now was Hawking being tempted by Magneto like Pyro had been and tricked into joining the Brotherhood of Mutants.
"Good evening, Professor!"
In the Headmaster's office, Hawking waved at Professor X with a bright smile.
When Professor X saw Hawking, a gentle smile appeared on his face as well.
"How was it? Did you enjoy dinner tonight?"
Because Hawking was such a massive eater, he had specifically asked Yug to prepare more than ten times the amount of ingredients used for previous parties.
"Of course. I'm extremely satisfied."
Hawking gave Professor X a thumbs-up.
Deep down, he was still somewhat grateful to Professor X.
As someone who had crossed over from another world, he had no particular stance on Mutants, humans, or anything like that.
After all, strictly speaking, he did not even belong to the Marvel Universe.
The people he cared about most were Oleg, Elena, Wanda, and Pietro, the four people who gave him warmth like that of a family.
Professor X had helped Oleg and Elena find stable jobs, given Wanda and Pietro a safe environment to attend school, and allowed him to grow steadily in peace for the past three years.
He remembered all of that.
So, whenever it was within his power, he was willing to repay some of that kindness.
Just like this time, his main purpose was to earn Justice Points, unlock a new Protagonist Template, and find ways to increase his strength. But in passing, he also wanted to help the Mutants a little, as repayment to Professor X.
He believed people could act in their own interests, but they also had to know how to repay kindness and have principles.
"Hawking, you came specifically to see me. You must have something you want to talk about, right?"
After chatting for a few moments, Professor X immediately got to the point.
Based on what he had learned about Hawking over the past three years, if nothing was wrong, this self-torturing madman would not have come to chat with him.
Hawking did not waste any words.
"Professor, after three years of hard work, I've now completely mastered my abilities."
"Oh, that's good news. Congratulations!"
A look of delight immediately appeared on Professor X's face.
Hawking was very powerful. Even without transforming into a Great Ape, he was still strong. That had already been proven during the battle three years ago.
It was just that Hawking had not been able to fully control his abilities then. He could only use them for an hour, would faint afterward, and in his normal state, he was only somewhat stronger than an ordinary child.
Now that Hawking had completely mastered his abilities, it meant Mutant School had gained another General. Naturally, that made him very happy.
"So, Professor, there's something I want to discuss with you."
"What is it?"
A curious expression appeared on Professor X's face.
Instead of revealing his plan right away, Hawking asked a question.
"Professor, as far as I know, we've been cooperating with S.H.I.E.L.D. for three years now.
"From the looks of it, the government does seem much friendlier toward Mutants. But ordinary humans are still extremely repulsed by and afraid of Mutants.
"Why is that?"
"Hawking, that's perfectly normal. You have to understand that just as humans naturally fear the dark and are afraid of the unknown, they do not understand Mutants. They always think every one of us is dangerous and might threaten their lives.
"So their fear of Mutants is more instinctive. It does not mean humans are inherently evil.
"We must not rush, nor should we hate them like Magneto does. Time will prove everything. One day, humans and Mutants will live together in harmony."
Professor X patiently explained to Hawking in an earnest tone.
He attached great importance to Hawking and deeply feared that Hawking would be tempted by Magneto like Pyro, taking a step into the abyss.
Fortunately, Hawking had his own ideas and had never been influenced by Magneto, which greatly reassured him.
"Professor, I think you're right. That's what I think too.
"Actually, humans don't know that most Mutants have very weak abilities. They are basically not dangerous at all. In fact, they are not even as threatening as a knife or a gun.
"They simply do not understand, and because it is unknown, they are afraid.
"But if we had a chance to let them understand Mutants, let them know what Mutants are like, and even make them like Mutants, wouldn't humanity's fear of Mutants be greatly reduced?"
Hawking slowly voiced his thoughts.
"What I mean is, why don't we try becoming Super Heroes? We could use our special abilities to help humans who need help, so humans would understand that not all Mutants are so frightening.
"Then we could use the media to..."
What he said was not entirely meant to talk Professor X into something. In the Days of Future Past timeline, Professor X really had made the X-Men into Super Heroes for the entire world, helping humans solve problems they could not handle.
At that time, many humans worshipped the Mutants of the X-Men as idols, and the relationship between humans and Mutants greatly improved.
It was just that Professor X had been too idealistic. He actually sent the X-Men out whenever humans were in danger, even forcing them into situations beyond their capabilities.
In the end, Jean lost control, and they had the misfortune of encountering Apocalypse's awakening. In one stroke, everything returned to square one.
But that was naturally not the outcome Hawking wanted.
What he wanted was to eventually establish something like Vought International from The Boys.
Those they could save, they would naturally save. Those they could not save, they could rely on Public Relations to achieve the same effect.
It would not even have to be limited to Mutants. Inhumans, Superpowered Persons, and the like could all be brought in.
Of course, he could not tell Professor X that now.
