Uchiha Clan Grounds.
After exchanging greetings with everyone, Shamu entered Fugaku's bedroom.
Fugaku sat on the bed with his eyes open, but his irises were a grayish white. It was impossible to tell how much vision he still had.
Shamu walked in, and Fugaku turned toward the sound.
"Is that Shamu?"
Fugaku asked. He could only make out a silhouette now and could not see anything else clearly, but he guessed it was Shamu.
"How did you end up in such a sorry state, Clan Head?"
Shamu asked with a grin, his tone relaxed and completely devoid of any sadness for Fugaku.
Fugaku relaxed as well and smiled. "I wanted to keep Obito here, but I didn't expect him to get away in the end."
Shamu shook his head. Obito had harmed the Uchiha Clan so badly that, if not for his intervention, the clan would already have been wiped out.
Naturally, Fugaku had no intention of letting Obito go. Yet he had not discussed it with Shamu and had quietly handled the matter himself.
Shamu had heard that Fugaku and Obito had ultimately clashed with their ocular power, leaving both sides badly injured.
Judging from Fugaku's eyes, they were basically ruined.
As for Obito, he was incredibly resilient thanks to the Hashirama Cells.
He had probably already fully recovered by now.
And now he had taken back the eye from Kakashi.
His strength had likely risen tremendously.
Shamu had returned early because he was worried that Obito would make a comeback.
"I set up a summoning array for you. Why didn't you summon me back? You could've summoned Itachi or Shisui back too."
Shamu was not blaming him. He simply wanted to hear Fugaku's thoughts.
Fugaku sighed. "I thought our preparations were thorough enough, but we still lost quite
