Having just obtained the Rinnegan, Black Zetsu immediately used the Mayfly Technique and prepared to return to Mountain Graveyard.
There were two Rinnegan. He would give one to Obito; he still needed him to revive Uchiha Madara and complete the Eye of the Moon Plan.
As for the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path having been summoned away, Zetsu was not worried. After all, the current Demonic Statue of the Outer Path had yet to awaken.
It was merely an empty shell and would not be easily damaged. It did not matter if they left it there for now.
Once Obito returned and transplanted the Rinnegan, he could simply summon it back.
Black Zetsu looked toward the sky. It would be fine as long as they were not discovered.
After Black Zetsu returned to Mountain Graveyard, he discovered that Danzo White Zetsu was gone.
Black Zetsu frowned, but he had no mind to deal with him for the time being.
He would simply wait for Obito to return and transplant the Rinnegan.
Suddenly, an enormous wave of Chakra swept across the sky, startling Black Zetsu.
How had they been alerted?
What had Obito done?
At that moment, a vortex appeared in midair, and Obito emerged from it.
He had been moving through the Kamui Dimension the whole time and had instead been unaware of the Chakra scan.
The moment he came out, he was about to lash out at Black Zetsu.
But Black Zetsu reacted even more strongly, rare urgency in his voice.
"Obito, what did you do!? How did you alert them!?"
Obito was utterly confused.
"Alert who? Konan has placed Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags on the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path."
"If this goes on too long, it may be damaged. We need to summon it back
