Chapter Summaries

Sasori and Yura fled across the Land of Wind, but Chiyo and Fujitomo caught up with them. After Yura told Sasori how the world had changed, Sasori refused to return to Hidden Sand Village, and Chiyo attacked.

• Sasori and Yura rested after four hours of pursuit, and Sasori asked Yura to report what had happened outside.
• Yura described the war between Cloud Village and Hidden Mist Village, the upheaval in Konoha, the Uchiha Clan founding the Land of Radiance, and Obito stealing the Rinnegan and killing the leader of Akatsuki.
• Chiyo and Fujitomo caught up, and Chiyo urged Sasori to return to Hidden Sand Village.
• Sasori refused to return, and Chiyo sent Fujitomo after Yura while she attacked Sasori with Father and Mother.

Haku’s Ice Release helped the Princess Fuun crew film on elevated platforms while Naruto battled the Snow Ninja for the camera. As Naruto held back to prolong the fight, Nadare Rōga prepared an Ice Release attack and the remaining Snow Ninja considered retreating.

• Haku created two ice platforms, allowing Okamura’s crew to set up equipment and begin filming.
• Haku exposed the three Snow Ninja in hiding, and Kazahana Koyuki and the other actors continued their silent performance for dialogue to be dubbed later.

• Obito left Hiruko to prepare the ritual and traveled to the Land of Fire border after White Zetsu reported a Uchiha squad nearby.
• Kei, Kaito, and Yuta investigated a natural illusion at some ruins, and the illusion vanished when they dug up a grave.
• Obito emerged from the ground and reached for Kaito, but Kei’s blade passed through him as Kaito dodged.
• Yuta used a Reverse Summoning scroll to bring Itachi to the battlefield, and Itachi ordered the squad to send a message and leave.
• Itachi confronted Obito and gave Kei, Kaito, and Yuta five minutes to withdraw while he prepared to fight.

• Shamu flew toward Obito, recognizing that the Spear of Heaven was removing the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path’s seal and feeding it energy.
• A pitch-black Eight-Headed Black Snake emerged from the Spear of Heaven, and Orochimaru said it was likely a consciousness born from the absorbed dark energy.
• Shamu summoned his Crow Tengu Form Susanoo to stop the Spear of Heaven, while Obito attacked with Shinra Tensei.
• The Eight-Headed Black Snake lunged at Shamu’s Susanoo, and the two colossal creatures began fighting as Obito hoped the statue would recover.

Obito fought First Elder outside the temple, using his abilities to pursue him and read his memories. As First Elder burned his soul to activate the Giant Tenseigan and unleash the Spirit Repulsion Formation, Obito and Black Zetsu were forced to brace themselves against its growing force, while Black Zetsu urged Obito to take the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

• First Elder evaded Obito's Banshō Ten'in with help from the stone statues and found that his fire, ice, and lightning attacks passed through Obito.
• Obito manifested Susanoo and struck First Elder with Yasaka Beads, then bound him with branches and began reading his memories.
• First Elder blasted Obito away by burning his soul and connecting to the Giant Tenseigan, then turned his attention to preserving his clan's hope and protecting Toneri.
• First Elder activated the Spirit Repulsion Formation, which marked Obito and Black Zetsu and began forcing them into the sky despite Obito's intangibility.

After the Hidden Mist repelled the Cloud Village invasion, Mei Terumi gained the support of two powerful elders, Kyokotsu and Hyori. Hyori reassured her about the Uchiha Clan’s plans for the islands and urged the Hidden Mist to strengthen its cooperation with them, then departed with Kyokotsu.

• Mei Terumi thanked Kyokotsu and Hyori for helping defeat the Cloud Village and invited them to become Hidden Mist elders; Hyori praised her reforms and pledged support.

• Orochimaru had Shingo demonstrate the Rasengan to the Third Hokage, then arranged for him to monitor Naruto as a jonin, live beside him, and await an academy assignment.
• Minato left excited to build a close relationship with Naruto while serving as his instructor.

Shamu fought Jigen while testing the abilities granted by his Karma State II, which fused with his bloodline and transformed his eyes. He wounded Jigen with a Chakra blade, but the technique sharply shortened the state’s remaining duration.

• Shamu caught Jigen’s Karma State II punch, kicked him away, and revealed a Byakugan in his right eye and a new Mangekyō in his left.
• Shamu and Jigen traded close-range blows, with Shamu’s greater strength and speed offset by Jigen’s superior taijutsu and instincts.

• Danzo ordered Nakamura Kazuya to enter the Military Police Force and avoid provoking Fugaku, while Hizashi arranged for Root members to take over the Hyuga’s First through Fourth Street posts.
