Chapter Summaries

Itachi and Shisui shared intelligence and supplies with Cloud Village before coordinating with Nagato and Kisame to shape the coming battle. Kisame gave Hidden Mist Village a map of Cloud Village’s traps, while concealing that the Raikage was on his way to support the front.

• Shisui gave Samui hundreds of Exploding Tags to trap the area around Cloud Village’s stronghold, then he and Itachi left to investigate Hidden Mist Village.
• Itachi contacted Nagato and reported that Hidden Stone Village had been stopped, Hidden Mist Village was preparing to attack, and the Raikage was coming to reinforce Cloud Village.
• Kisame joined the conversation and agreed to tell Hidden Mist Village about Cloud Village’s traps while keeping the Raikage’s arrival secret.
• Kisame told Ao that Konoha might allow Hidden Stone Village to cross the Land of Fire and gave him a map of Cloud Village’s defensive deployment.

Shamu revealed to Konan that Zetsu and the masked man had killed Kyūsuke and Daibutsu, then gave her the means to verify the truth and information about Uchiha Obito. Konan flew off to confront Nagato with what she had learned while Shamu continued toward Sunagakure.

Orochimaru delegated the Hokage’s summons to Minato, who delivered the intelligence to Jiraiya and sent him hurrying to the Third Hokage.

• The Third Hokage learned that the Hidden Mist Village’s reinforcements had wiped out three thousand Cloud Village ninja and forced Cloud Village to withdraw, ending the war in less than a month.
• The Third Hokage studied the report about the Akatsuki leader’s unusual eyes, suspected they were the Rinnegan, and ordered a meeting while considering measures against the Uchiha Clan.
• Orochimaru received the report and the order to notify Jiraiya, then told Minato to deliver the news and summon Jiraiya instead.
• Minato found Jiraiya asleep in Konoha’s pleasure district and handed him the intelligence report.

Shamu took Yahiko across the Land of Fire border to keep him away from Obito and Nagato, then tested Yahiko’s enhanced body and defeated him. Yahiko accepted that he could not return to help Nagato and Konan, and Shamu prepared to take him back to Konoha in disguise.

• Shamu woke Yahiko and explained that Obito had forced him to take Yahiko away while Konan stayed with Nagato.
• Yahiko discovered that his body had become much stronger and insisted on returning, but Shamu challenged him to a fight.

• Shamu told Yahiko that Nagato was far stronger and reassured him that Nagato and Konan had enough trump cards to survive.

Minato, Shion, Haku, and Yoya entered the Time Sealing Formation and joined the fight against Meishiki and Hoshiki. Itachi used the Sword of Totsuka to seal Hoshiki, while Meishiki remained a threat.

In Konoha, Shamu gathered returned Uchiha fighters to explain his plans for practical combat instruction and warned them about the Ninja Academy’s Will of Fire course.

• Nagato endured another eruption of the Hashirama Cells’ will and saw a Cursed Seal near his heart as he observed his body from within.
• Nagato told Konan he could sense the seal and planned to wait until the Hashirama Cell enhancement was complete before trying to remove it.

Tsunade confronted Danzo, who claimed Sarutobi Hiruzen had arranged the deaths of Nawaki and Dan Katō. After Hiruzen tried to silence Danzo, Danzo revived and revealed his accusations, turning Tsunade against her former teacher as Jiraiya intervened.

• Shamu disguised himself and entered the Hyuga compound, where Hayato told him where Neji was.
• Shamu told grieving, blind Neji that Hizashi could be saved, and Neji agreed to pay any price.
• Shamu knocked Neji unconscious, carried him out in a sack, and left a note behind.

Shamu revived Hizashi, restored Neji’s sight, removed his Caged Bird Seal, and recruited him into the Uchiha. Orochimaru pressed Hiashi to abolish the Hyuga Main and Branch Family system or face the Branch Family’s destruction, and the chapter ended as Hizashi called the crisis an opportunity for the clan.

• Neji reunited with the revived Hizashi, and Shamu offered Branch Family members who could not let go of their hatred a place in the Uchiha.
• Shamu revealed that he had given Neji a pair of Byakugan and removed his Caged Bird Seal; the system rewarded him for changing Neji’s fate and recruiting him.

• Le explained that human interference had created a new space-time, and that Urashiki would arrive in several days seeking Naruto's Chakra.
• Le warned Boruto and Future Sasuke about changes to people and events, the danger of remaining more than seven days, and the Space-Time Variable who could stabilize the future.
