My old problem of getting stuck whenever I reach a transitional arc had flared up again.
I had the plot figured out, but I just couldn't write it. I spent all day and only managed one chapter.
Come to think of it, One Piece fanfiction really is hard to write in its later stages.
The original work itself leans toward passionate battles, making it ill-suited for slice-of-life plotlines. All I could do was keep having the protagonist fight.
And with the Power Ceiling right there, once the protagonist's strength rose, the later plot could easily turn into bland, brainless steamrolling.
There'll only be one update today.
