Background / History

Physician of Qingshan Town

Xiao Yi Xian works at Myriad Medicine Pavilion as a young physician. Her kindness and medical skill earn the gratitude of many low-ranking mercenaries, and even the town's three major mercenary groups must publicly respect her popularity 42.

She disappears when a herb-gathering expedition is attacked by a pack of first-tier Magic Wolves. While other searchers avoid Soul Severing Ravine, Mo Tang investigates it and finds her treating an injured Blue Eagle. He subsequently carries her back to Qingshan Town 42 43 44.

The Poison Scripture and First Outbreaks

When Mo Tang requests a poison capable of killing a fourth-order magical beast, Xiao Yi Xian admits that her current knowledge is insufficient. She offers to help if he accompanies her to some cliffside ruins. Her knowledge of mechanisms helps them enter the stone chamber, where she obtains the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture 45 46 47.

Her Calamity Poison Body soon awakens, leaving her unconscious in a room filled with toxic mist. Mo Tang discovers her condition and reassures her that he is not afraid of her. To prevent her constitution from becoming public knowledge, he ends her employment at the pavilion and takes her to the Qingshan Mercenary Group headquarters, deliberately accepting the reputation of having forcibly taken her away 49 50 51.

Xiao Yi Xian researches Blood Melting Poison for Mo Tang and accompanies him to gather its ingredients. During the expedition, Crystal Scorpion mist triggers a much more dangerous poison already hidden in his body. She identifies the underlying toxin and saves him using a detoxification method from the scripture, advancing to Three-Star Dou Zhe by absorbing a trace of it 51 52 54 55.

Separation and the Three-Year Pact

A second outbreak at the mercenary headquarters kills four mercenaries and more than a dozen maids. Xiao Yi Xian withdraws to the familiar poisonous basin and decides to leave the Jia Ma Empire rather than continue endangering people around her 74.

She and Mo Tang make a three-year pact: he will find her in the Chuyun Empire and resolve her poison body's problem, while she promises not to recklessly consume poisons to accelerate her cultivation. She hopes to become strong enough to protect him. Before separating, they spend three days together, and he gives her a Storage Ring as a sign of commitment 74 75.

Reunion and Perfection of the Poison Body

When Mo Tang finds her again, Xiao Yi Xian has become a Six-Star Dou Emperor known as the Heavenly Poison Girl. Soul Hall attempts to pressure her into joining by exploiting her fear of isolation and an eventual fatal eruption. She initially avoids Mo Tang's touch because her body has become so poisonous that contact corrodes even stone and wood 190 191.

To protect Mo Tang, she unleashes her poison body and traps a Five-Star Dou Emperor in a poison-gas space, killing him. The technique severely drains her, and she later loses the ability to maintain her wings. Mo Tang and Queen Medusa separately eliminate Iron Protector to stop him from reporting her constitution to Soul Hall, then bring her to a cave for treatment 193 194.

Mo Tang uses Origin Qi to absorb her accumulated toxins and make them controllable, then merges it into her bloodline. The treatment replaces her seven-colored abdominal line with a butterfly-shaped mark on her lower back. She can subsequently release her poison power without its former backlash and absorb immense quantities of poisonous mist and natural energy 195.

Central Plains Cultivation

After reaching Dou Zong in Poison Soul Valley, Xiao Yi Xian also proves that her transformed constitution can cultivate through ordinary natural energy. This method is slower than poison-based cultivation but frees her from depending exclusively on increasingly powerful toxins 200 210.

Mo Tang later directs her to Luoshen Ravine, a poison-rich region of the Dan Domain. Bing He Valley discovers her there and attempts to capture her. Bing He reveals that he possesses an acquired Calamity Poison Body and wants hers to perfect his own; Xiao Yi Xian responds with killing intent toward him for his persecution of earlier poison-body possessors 262 281 282.

As her strength rises, Luoshen Ravine and the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture become insufficient for rapid advancement. Mo Tang buys her the Heavenly Nether Poison Canon, whose formulas can threaten Dou Zun experts 358.

She later reaches Nine-Star Dou Zun through the Heavenly Demon Blood Pool, undergoes reincarnation trials with Bodhi Seeds, and returns to the Bodhi Space for further secluded cultivation. By the latest account, she has reached mid-stage Three-Star Dou Sheng, though the Bodhi Ancient Tree's energy has caused a new change in her constitution whose consequences remain unknown 378 391 413 440.

Appearance

Xiao Yi Xian's charm is associated with her tranquil expression and fresh, ethereal bearing. At their first meeting, Mo Tang particularly notices her exceptionally slender waist 43.

  • Clothing: Frequently wears a white dress or snow-white robes; during her later treatment, a white gown is worn beneath a black robe 43 195 200 207.
  • Eyes: Violet-gray or gray-purple. When she first unleashes her poison body, one eye becomes deep purple and the other gray; during its dangerous eruption, both turn pure gray 191 193 195.
  • Hair: Turns grayish white while her constitution remains afflicted, then returns to flowing black after its flaw is remedied 200.
  • Poison-body mark: Originally a seven-colored line advancing toward her heart; after evolution, a palm-sized seven-colored butterfly appears along her lower-back spine 195.
  • Herb-gathering attire: Wears a pale green headscarf and carries a flower basket during the Crystal Scorpion basin expedition 56.

Personality

Xiao Yi Xian is kind-hearted and committed to healing. Her ambition to become an alchemist contrasts sharply with the destructive potential of her constitution. She initially keeps her poison-making knowledge secret and reacts coldly when Mo Tang reveals that he knows about it 42 45 49.

Her greatest early fear is harming others or being rejected as a poison master. After losing control, she breaks down in tears and condemns herself; later, the deaths caused by another outbreak drive her to leave populated surroundings. Mo Tang's willingness to accept her antidote without hesitation is especially meaningful to her 50 52 74.

Around Mo Tang, she is playful and outspoken, teasing him about showing off and calling him a money grubber. His physical teasing often embarrasses or angers her, but their relationship develops into mutual affection and trust 44 45 47 55.

She is also deeply competitive. Slowing cultivation motivates her to seek stronger poisons and extended seclusion. Once her constitution is perfected, she becomes increasingly confident in battle, facing Bing He Valley's experts without surrendering despite being outnumbered 282 358.

Abilities & Skills

Medicine and Poison Expertise

Xiao Yi Xian combines practical medical skill with extensive knowledge of toxins and medicinal ingredients 42 51 375.

  • Diagnosis and detoxification: Identifies the hidden poison responsible for Mo Tang's collapse and treats it using the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture 54 55.
  • Poison detection: Naturally senses toxic mist, warning companions before they recognize the danger 52 375.
  • Antidotes: Prepares medicinal powders and pills against poisonous mist, including the Savage Ancient Region's potentially Dou Zun-killing miasma 52 375.
  • Formula selection: Chooses Blood Melting Poison by balancing potency against the availability of its ingredients 51.
  • Limits: Her poison knowledge is described as grandmaster-level, but her alchemy does not match that of high-level alchemists 375.

Calamity Poison Body

Her innate constitution converts poison into cultivation power and produces highly corrosive poisonous Dou Qi 51 56 191.

  • Poison-based growth: Absorbs ingested toxins or environmental poisonous mist to increase her strength 55 56 198.
  • Early danger: Excessive poison intake or loss of control can cause unconsciousness, lethal mist outbreaks, and fatal harm to nearby people 49 55 74.
  • Perfected control: Origin Qi stores her toxins separately and allows her to release stronger poison power at will without the previous backlash 195.
  • Expanded cultivation: Can absorb ordinary natural energy after transformation, though this is slower than cultivating with suitable poisons 210 358.
  • Large-scale absorption: Demonstrates the ability to draw in poisonous mist and natural energy from within a thousand-meter radius 195.
  • Combat enhancement: Unleashing the perfected body temporarily raises her combat strength; at Two-Star Dou Zong, she believes she can face a Five-Star Dou Zong without defeat 210 216.
  • Later uncertainty: Its response to the Bodhi Ancient Tree's energy has not yet been determined to be beneficial or harmful 440.

Poison-Gas Prison

Her first full release of the poison body creates a space of dense gray-purple gas enclosing herself and an opponent. The narration identifies it as a simplified version of the Heavenly Poison Prison Realm 193.

  • Wears down enemies through sustained exposure to poison 193.
  • Kills a Five-Star Dou Emperor through severe toxic corrosion 193 194.
  • Initially causes dangerous depletion and physical distress; the later Origin Qi treatment removes her former backlash concerns 194 195.

Calamity Poison Force

One of her strongest attacks uses a gray liquid containing the purest poison of her constitution 224.

  • Rapidly dissolves flesh and blood; Mo Tianxing must sever his hand to stop its spread 224.
  • Can corrode even a Dou Zun's flesh on contact, and Mo Tianxing's Dou Qi cannot block it 224.
  • Continues strengthening as she absorbs more powerful poisons 224.

Flight and Spatial Techniques

  • Eagle Wings: Refines the Mysterious Tier High-grade Flight Battle Skill by the time she reaches Dou Shi. Mo Tang warns against practicing it earlier because it retains soul power from a fifth-tier Black Flame Purple Cloud Eagle 47 56 80.
  • Dou Zong movement: Can step through empty air after reaching Dou Zong 200.
  • Space Lockdown: Conceals a valley while Mo Tang's Sky Demon Phoenix bloodline fusion produces intense energy fluctuations 214.
  • Protective barrier: Uses a barrier around her cultivation site in Luoshen Ravine, which Bing He Valley's experts attack 282.

Mechanisms

  • Has studied mechanisms and uses that knowledge to help enter the stone chamber of the cliffside ruins 47.

Equipment / Items

  • Seven-Colored Poison Scripture: Acquired in the cliffside ruins; supplies poison formulas and the detoxification method used to save Mo Tang. Its formulas eventually become inadequate for her Dou Zun-level needs 47 51 55 358.
  • Heavenly Nether Poison Canon: Gift from Mo Tang, created thousands of years earlier by the Heavenly Nether Poison Saint. Contains advanced formulas, including toxins dangerous to Dou Zun experts 358.
  • Storage Ring: Given by Mo Tang before their separation as a symbol of commitment 75.
  • Prepared antidotes: Carries pale green medicinal powder during herb gathering and scarlet antidote pills in the Savage Ancient Region 52 375.
  • Magic Core collection: Gives Mo Tang a pouch of cores collected over several years after learning that he needs fourth-tier and higher cores 196.
  • Bodhi Seeds: Used for reincarnation trials within the Bodhi Space 391.
