Background / History

The Soul Clan's interest in the Xiao Clan's Key was notably stronger and less restrained than the Gu Clan's. Its Soul Hall branch sought information on the Xiao Clan and operated across the continent while pursuing souls and strategic targets 165.

A millennium before the main conflict, the Soul Clan ambushed and killed Xiao Xuan while he was severely injured. The operation required two Nine-star Dou Shengs and the clan's capable experts, inflicted heavy losses on the Soul Clan, and left it needing roughly a thousand years to recover 371.

During its recovery, the clan concealed its strength while preparing to move against the other ancient races. Hun Tiandi remained in seclusion after being injured by Xiao Xuan, while the clan prepared for his emergence and the beginning of its campaign 390.

Bloodline Harvesting

The clan's attacks on ancient races were intended to obtain both Ancient Emperor Jade fragments and Dou Di bloodlines. Through the Spirit Devouring Clan's abilities, Void Devouring Flame could devour and extract these bloodlines to strengthen Hun Tiandi 460.

Continental Disruption

Soul Hall increased its public activity in the Northwestern Continent, recruited potential talent such as Mo Tang, and helped create widespread chaos across the Jia Ma Empire, nearby empires, the Dan Domain, and the Central Continent 225 335 345.

The disruption drew other powers' attention and resources away while the Soul Clan prepared operations against the ancient races 356.

Bodhi Ancient Tree Operation

The Soul Clan entered the Desolate Ancient Region under the cover of an alliance against the Beast Tide. After being exposed by Gu Xun'er, Hun Yu joined the expedition 380.

Hun Feng and four Dou Sheng-level experts activated the Myriad Soul Devouring Spirit Array to capture the Bodhi Ancient Tree. Gu Nan Hai, Mo Tang, and Yao Ming weakened and broke the formation; Mo Tang killed the four injured Soul Clan Dou Shengs. Hun Feng escaped with Hun Yu using a spatial jade slip, while Mo Tang absorbed and killed the deployed Void Devouring Flame origin clone 387 388 389.

Yao Realm Assault

At the Yao Clan's spatial trading fair, Hun Xuzi demanded the Tuoshe Ancient Emperor Jade. The Soul Clan sealed the Yao Realm, then attacked those attempting to leave 453.

It subsequently deployed the Realm of Death, severely wounded the Medicine Emperor's Remnant Soul, and trapped the gathered experts. Although Mo Tang helped break the formation by taking control of a Deadly Silence Gate, the Yao Realm was devastated and the Yao Clan was effectively annihilated 457 458 460 462.

The campaign cost the Soul Clan Hun Yuantian, an Eight-star Dou Sheng, and its foremost alchemist 462.

Burial Sky Mountain Range War

After obtaining seven ancient jade pieces, the Soul Clan prepared to target the Four Directions Alliance. The Gu Clan, Thunder Clan, Yan Clan, and Four Directions Alliance united against it at the Burial Sky Mountain Range 468 470.

Hun Tiandi offered Mo Tang a place in the Soul Clan and access to the Ancient Emperor's Cave Mansion; Mo Tang refused. Hun Tiandi then repelled the combined ancient arrays of the Gu, Thunder, and Yan Clans with the Soul Locking Chain 471.

The Soul Clan used the Realm of Death against the Thunder and Yan Clans. Hun Tiandi revealed that he had sacrificed the Soul Clan itself to create an equal-strength clone, shocking the opposing alliance 473.
