Jack grinned. The Berserk Cyberware beneath his skin trembled, muscle fibers swelling and knotting under hormonal stimulation. The Synaptic Accelerator in his nervous system flashed blue, and the world instantly slowed in his eyes—the fully armed Cyberpsycho had only just raised his gun when Jack had already slammed into his arms.
Military-grade alloy bones groaned under the strain. Jack's arms clamped around the man like hydraulic pincers, crushing his tactical gear out of shape. He could feel the Subdermal Armor compressing the man's organs and flesh into ruin, hear the crisp cracks of cervical joints twisting under torque—

With a savage wrench, the head beneath the helmet turned a full one hundred and eighty degrees.
Data lines at the neck crackled with electrical sparks. The owl-like body, its face turned backward, twitched as it dropped to its knees. Jack released it, letting the corpse—which was still convulsing from neural reflexes—slide to the floor. Blood dripped from his fingers, glinting an eerie crimson in the light.

"Ha! Even the captain's gone insane?" Jack bared his teeth, muscles tightening beneath his Subdermal Armor. "Makes sense, though. In your unit, if you can chop people
