"Actually, I'd been planning all this when Professor Dumbledore was preparing to deal with those Goblin slaves." Fudge gently pushed the documents on the tea table toward Anton.

"The Unicorn Farm, the Flying Broomstick Factory, the Floo Powder Factory, all kinds of resource channels in Diagon Alley..."

Fudge raised an eyebrow. "I was in contact with Neville Longbottom and Percy Weasley. Neville Longbottom asked me not to bother you with all this nonsense."

"It was killing me, you know. I'd done something for you, but I couldn't tell you. It was agony!"

Anton stared at him in astonishment, picked up the documents from the table, and began looking through them one by one.

"Simply put, we divided up the interests that had belonged to those Pure-blood Families."

Anton flipped through the documents casually. "They didn't tell me."

"Neither Professor Dumbledore nor you likes getting involved in this sort of dirty business. Without a big shot at the top to make the final call, the people below are being exceptionally cautious in their maneuvering."

"Besides, a lot has changed. The factories don't have Goblin slaves anymore, but they still need Goblin Workers to run them. That alone raises all sorts of issues, and after all the bickering, they've pushed the matter back to the Ministry of Magic."
