When Anton left Dumbledore's Magical Research Institute, he'd planned to head straight back to the Sanctuary Tower. But before he could, the house-elf Dobby came looking for him.
"Miss Anna Rosier asked me to tell you that she's taking everyone to the Muggle World to make up some biology lessons with a biologist."
"What?" Anton stared at Dobby in surprise.
Dobby looked just as confused. "At first, the two Weasley twins thought they shouldn't keep all kinds of animals in the Sanctuary Tower without any rules, so they planned to make a proper schedule. Miss Hannah Abbott suggested they read some Muggle biology books."
"So your loyal Dobby volunteered to buy them. Then Miss Hannah Abbott said she might need some books about plants, too."
"After that, Miss Anna Rosier suggested that everyone might as well take a systematic course in biology."
"She got in touch with Director Lupin's wife, Mrs. Ilsa Lupin. Apparently, she's already arranged private lessons for everyone."
"Now they've all gone."
Anton cackled. "They used to tease me for going to cram school during the holidays. Just look at them! They went too!"
This was by far the biggest change Anton had brought to Cabin.
Of course, it had nothing to do with cram school.
Whether it was Voldemort, Grindelwald, Dumbledore, or the officials at the Ministry of Magic, their hopes for Squibs were mostly that, once these Muggles gained magic, they would make full use of the knowledge and skills they had already mastered in the Muggle World.
It had never occurred to them to consider the reverse—that wizards might learn Muggle knowledge.
Anton told Dobby to go back on his own. After a moment's thought, he decided to head to Professor Snape's office.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was quiet during the holidays.
