Flying Broomsticks and wands were actually not difficult to make. They could even be called extremely simple.

After briefly introducing those basics, Old Dumbledore, much as he had when introducing Animagus, focused more on explaining the relationship between Wizard and Nature.

For example, what sort of personality, desires, and emotions suited what kinds of magical plants and magical creatures.

This was not merely a comprehensive consideration of Magizoology, Magical Botany, magical artifact studies, and Alchemy. It was also a method of exploring a wizard's understanding of themselves.
