"First James's son, Harry, and now Sirius..."
"Tom, you've disappointed me terribly."
As Old Dumbledore stood, Sirius floated up into the air as well.
Silence—an utterly wordless silence. Dumbledore stood motionless with his back to Anton, like a statue.
After a long while, he asked in a subdued voice, "Anton, I remember you once extracted the Dark Magic from Snape, and you also said you could help with the Horcrux inside Harry..."
Anton nodded lightly. "Yes. Just say the word, and I can deal with Harry Potter's situation anytime. But Sirius..."
"Really, Professor Dumbledore, I'm not lying to you."
Anton sighed. "You've read my book, Wizards as Gods. Professor Snape's Dark Magic was actually a compound of 'emotion' and magical power, a state extremely close to an Obscurus."
"Harry's case is simple. It's an ordinary possession. Although both souls are inside the same body, they're actually unrelated to each other, just like the Tom's Remains I made before."
"But Sirius here is different from Harry and Professor Snape."
"Simply put, their 'Soul Shells' have already fused together. It's more like..."
Anton frowned. "You can think of it this way: Harry has two souls in one body, while Sirius has two Egos in one soul! There's an extremely subtle difference between them!"
Dumbledore's eyes were full of sorrow.
"I heard everything," Sirius said, slowly opening his eyes. A weak smile touched his pale face as he looked at Dumbledore. "We have to face life and keep living as best we can, don't we?"
"It's all Fate. I choose to face it."
Dumbledore slowly shook his head. "I don't believe in Fate. I've spent my whole life fighting against it."
Pfft—
Anton couldn't help laughing.
"!!!" Dumbledore turned around and glared at Anton. "I know exactly what you're thinking, you little brat.
