"Whoa~" Anna exclaimed. "What do you call this magic?"
"Traces of Time." Anton smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Looks like it works pretty well."
Crunch. He bit through the joint of a lobster leg, then snapped it apart and pulled out the long meat. Watching it wobble with a springy bounce, he happily took a bite.
"This is only the beginning. I think the 'Traces of Time' spell can help create a suitable environment, allowing the people inside to develop a unique shared emotional state and, in turn, give rise to a Dark Magic Creature."
He shrugged. "It's only a guess. I think it might take a little more time."
Things were worse than Eva Miles had imagined!
She had no idea how she had made it through the long night. She could feel everything inside her grinding to a halt, while all the vitality of life slowly seeped away through the only part of her body she could move: her face.
It was just a feeling.
She could feel her eyes growing dry and scratchy, her throat gradually losing moisture, and her lips slowly cracking.
Her entire body was frozen, so it could no longer provide any vitality to the beautiful face she was so proud of.
At this point, it would have been better if her whole body had been Petrified, leaving her completely motionless. At least then she might have been spared this torment.
She began to break down.
First, she muttered to herself. Then she screamed at the top of her lungs. Finally, she started to cry.
After crying for a long time, she let out a crazed laugh.
As she laughed, she began to feel suffocated, exhausted, and drowsy. Her mind grew sluggish.
