The students' chatter drowned out the rumble of the train. The students returning from the holidays seemed to have endless things to talk about.
Hannah Abbott complained to Anna, who was sitting by the window, looking rather troubled. "There was so much going on in New York, and those people were complete jerks. Everything turned into a huge mess. Look, I've got so many pimples on my forehead."
As they grew older, the fourth-years gradually developed troubles of their own.
Anna looked at Hannah's pimples, then turned her emerald-green eyes to Anton. "Maybe there's some kind of magic that could help with that?"
Anton was taking a funny magical toy the twins had found in America from them. He shook his head. "Magic isn't万能. When it comes to problems with the body, we usually turn to Potions. They work much better than magic."
"Bubotuber pus. That stuff works wonders."
"What?!!!" Hannah shrieked. "Pus? I don't want to smear pus on my face!"
"Actually, it's a skin treatment made from Bubotuber pus." Neville looked up from the thick Notebook on the seat beside her. "The stuff smells like gasoline, and using it directly will burn your skin. But even a simple dilution is enough to get rid of stubborn acne."
"If you need some, I can brew it for you later."
Hannah hesitated, her little face scrunching up in dismay. "Is there anything else I could try?"
"There is."
Anton cackled.
"Pimples are a sign that your body's out of balance. We can start by restoring that balance. I can write you a Potion recipe right now. Use it for a foot soak, and I guarantee that when you wake up tomorrow morning, all your pimples will be gone."
