Neptune began the Sea God’s trials as an undersea disaster threatened the world, while Ye Cheng created a Water Controller persona and built White Cloud City. A question-and-answer broadcast revealed Sun Zhongjing’s poison expertise and his cure for Dugu Bo, and Ye Cheng then manifested the Medicine King persona.

• Bo Saixi explained that the Sea God had combined Neptune’s nine trials into one because of an ocean emergency, and Neptune began pulling the Sea God Trident from the Sea God Hall.
• The Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud joined the Sea God Trident, completing its socket as Neptune drew it partly free, and the broadcast showed him freezing an undersea volcano and vast stretches of ocean into a Glacier Continent.
• After a strange roar came from the eruption site, Ye Cheng created a level 95 Water Controller - Neptune Persona and sent its avatar toward Sea God Island to undertake the Sea God’s trials.

As Neptune pursued the Sea God’s Heart and White Cloud Academy began recruiting teachers, Yu Xiaogang failed its combat assessment and protested.

• Sun Zhongjing cured Xue Ye’s poison while secretly damaging his foundation, accepted the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud, and refused the title of National Teacher.
• Dugu Bo pledged himself to Sun Zhongjing in exchange for the Poison Pill Method, and Sun Zhongjing accepted his invitation to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
• Sun Zhongjing helped Dugu Bo condense a Poison Pill and reach level 92, evolved Dugu Yan’s Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor, and helped her form a Poison Pill of her own.

Ye Cheng and Neptune fought a spectacular duel before Neptune reclaimed the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and completed his Sea God trials. After persuading the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King to submit, Neptune returned to Sea God Island, where Bo Saixi began the final inheritance ritual.
