In class, Chiga watched Ryōichi-sensei spit flying as he lectured from the podium, paying no attention whatsoever to whether the Ninja Academy Students below were listening. Chiga's mind began to wander as he studied the system in his head.

He had obtained four Emotion Points from Uchiha Obito.

Chiga silently recited a phrase in his mind, and a translucent Status Panel appeared before his eyes.

At that moment, every category on the Status Panel except Bloodline Limit had a plus sign after its numerical value.

What a simple and brutal method.

Thinking this, Chiga tentatively focused his attention on the plus sign beside Fire Release.

Chiga raised an eyebrow. He currently only knew Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, but after raising his Fire Release by one point, he seemed to have gained a little insight into the Great Fireball Technique.

In the end, Chiga focused on his Chakra amount.

Thinking this, Chiga looked toward the other Uchiha in the classroom.

He had assumed Uchiha Obito would be just as lonely as him, but there was actually a girl beside Uchiha Obito.

The girl had a round, oval face with delicate, petite features. She wore a black short-sleeved top, and her entire presence radiated youthful liveliness. There was a purple stripe painted on each cheek, which did not detract from her appearance at all, but instead added a touch of playful charm.

She was none other than Uchiha Obito's lifelong love, Rin Nohara.

As Rin Nohara wiped the large bump on Uchiha Obito's head, she said gently, "Obito, don't be late next time, okay?"

"Rin, I was late because I was doing a good deed! If it weren't for my help, who knew when that old lady would have finished selling her flowers!"

"Alright, alright. I know you have a kind heart, Obito, but you still need to arrive on time for class. Otherwise, I won't pay attention to you anymore."

"Mm-hm, I'll listen to you, Rin!"

This grandnephew actually got treatment like this?!

Chiga immediately felt unbalanced. He stood up and walked over.

"Chiga, you came back to class."

Noticing Chiga approaching, Rin Nohara spoke first.

"What are you doing over here?"

Uchiha Obito looked at Chiga suspiciously.

"I wanted to borrow your class notes. I haven't attended class for the past few days, so I'm having trouble keeping up."

Chiga casually made up an excuse.

"A genius like me keeps everything in his head during class. Why would I need to take notes?!"

Obito's face darkened.

His theory grades were the worst in the entire class.

Asking to borrow his notes? That excuse was far too lousy.

He had figured it out. Chiga had come purely to interrupt his time alone with Rin.

"Is that so?"

Chiga narrowed his eyes and met Obito's gaze. At the same time, he casually invested three Emotion Points into his Chakra amount.

Chiga was the kind of man who refused to be weaker than anyone for his entire life.

Of course, the main reason was that these Emotion Points came far too easily. He had only walked over and exchanged a few words, yet he had already gained five points.

Over the next few years at the Ninja Academy, he could probably get quite a few Emotion Points from Obito.

"Chiga, use mine."

Rin Nohara, who clearly knew about Obito's situation, spoke up from the side before walking toward her seat.

"Hmph, of course! How could the girl I, Uchiha Obito, can't stop thinking about possibly be ordinary?"

Hearing Chiga praise Rin Nohara, Obito did not even get angry at being called "grandnephew." Instead, he looked thoroughly pleased with himself.

"Heh, but she doesn't like you, does she? I remember she seemed pretty attentive toward Kakashi."

Chiga searched through the memories in his mind.

In the original owner's memories, this girl treated everyone with a gentle, pleasant demeanor. Yet only when she faced Kakashi Hatake would her cheeks turn red, making her look especially shy and bashful.

"That White Hair Kakashi Hatake thinks he can compare to me, Uchiha Obito?" Hearing the name of his lifelong rival, Obito spat disdainfully. "Besides, I'm from the Uchiha clan! Our Uchiha clan is Konoha's number one noble clan. What does that White Hair have to compete with me for Rin?!"
