Ch. 841Stalemate

Kyōkotsu and the Raikage fought an exhausting, evenly matched taijutsu battle while their Jinchuriki reverted from their Complete Tailed Beast Transformations. Both were driven back by a clash of kicks, and Kyōkotsu began running out of the vitality and blood sustaining his Fifth Gate.

  • The Raikage struck Isobu, cracking its shell and sending it crashing to the ground.
  • Kyōkotsu charged the Raikage, and the two exchanged powerful blows while the battlefield’s center became too dangerous for others to approach.
  • The Raikage and Kyōkotsu continued fighting at close range, with Kyōkotsu relying on the toughness of his regenerating periosteum to withstand the Raikage’s attacks.
  • The Raikage brought down a lightning-charged kick, and Kyōkotsu countered with a side kick; their legs collided and sent them both flying backward.
  • Kyōkotsu’s bone spears shattered as his Chakra dwindled, and the chapter ended with him struggling to sustain the Fifth Gate because Senyo’s supply of vitality and blood could not keep pace with the fight.

Ch. 842Cheerleaders

Kyōkotsu and the others failed to capture the Raikage after Kumogakure used a Shockwave Bomb to escape, so Senyo ordered Kirigakure fighters to keep chasing and exhaust them. In the Land of Snow, Senyo rested while Karin massaged him, then Sasuke returned to the inn.

  • A Kumogakure ninja launched a Shockwave Bomb, letting the Raikage and Killer B escape with the other cloud ninja.
  • After recovering, Kyōkotsu asked whether they should pursue, but Senyo refused because he had not given Kyōkotsu enough vitality and blood to defeat the Raikage.
  • Senyo told Karatachi Yagura to send fast elite fighters after the fleeing Kumogakure group in rotations, keeping them running while the fighters rested.
  • Senyo's true body rested in an inn in the Land of Snow after exhausting himself transferring vitality and blood to Kyōkotsu.
  • Karin massaged Senyo as he explained that the situation in the Land of Water was under control, and Sasuke announced that he and the others had returned.

Ch. 843Crystal Mine

Senyo’s group gathered intelligence on Kazahana Dōtō and decided to assassinate him the next day. That night, Senyo captured two Snow Ninja and learned that Dōtō was using crystal ore from near the Rainbow Ice Wall to power Chakra Armor for his forces.

  • Kimimaro reported that Kazahana Dōtō ruled the Land of Snow harshly, expanded his military, and had survived repeated assassination attempts.
  • Senyo decided the group would assassinate Kazahana Dōtō the next day, while Sasuke and Karin looked forward to the fighting.
  • Two Snow Ninja tracked Senyo’s room with crystal ore powder, but Senyo’s Dojutsu Clone captured them before they could act.
  • Senyo hypnotized one of the Snow Ninja and learned that Dōtō collected crystal ore near the Rainbow Ice Wall to power Chakra Armor for his recruited ninja.
  • Senyo killed both Snow Ninja and buried them in the snow.

Ch. 844Desalination Device

Senyo, Sasori, and Tsunade began setting up desalination equipment on the Land of Wind’s coast, while Deidara and Kurotsuchi joined the work. In the Land of Snow, Asama Shirou spotted five people breaking into Kazahana Dōtō’s palace and hurried to alert the princess.

  • Tsunade welcomed Sasori as Konoha’s second contingent arrived on the Land of Wind’s southern coast.
  • Minato transported ten solar desalination machines to the site, and Senyo arranged their piping and inspected the setup.
  • Senyo ordered Deidara to use Dust Release to excavate a deep basin for concentrated brine while Kurotsuchi watched and gathered intelligence.
  • Asama Shirou saw five people knock down the guards and enter Kazahana Dōtō’s palace, then rushed to alert the princess.

Ch. 845Frontal Assault

Senyo and his group stormed the Snow capital’s Central Palace, where Sasuke, Haku, and Kimimaro quickly defeated Kazahana Dōtō’s three Snow Ninja. Kazahana Dōtō retreated deeper into the palace as his soldiers opened fire, and Kimimaro unleashed another bone dance.

  • Senyo led Sasuke and the others through the palace’s main gate and into the plaza, where Kazahana Dōtō confronted them with soldiers and his three trusted Snow Ninja.
  • Sasuke used his Mangekyō Sharingan to knock Winter Bear Tōru unconscious, while Haku shattered Crane Wing Fubuki’s ice swallows and pursued her.
  • Haku defeated Crane Wing Fubuki with Demonic Mirror Ice Crystals, and Kimimaro overcame Nadare Rōga’s Wolf Fang Avalanche Technique with his bone attacks.
  • Kazahana Dōtō retreated deeper into the palace as his adjutant ordered soldiers to fire a volley of kunai from hidden crates.
  • Kimimaro vanished from the plaza and called out Dance, Sawagari no Mai.

Ch. 846Assassination

Senyo and his group fought their way into Kazahana Dōtō's palace while searching for Kazahana Koyuki, but Dōtō triggered hidden bombs and escaped in his winged Chakra Armor. Senyo survived the collapse, pursued Dōtō, and killed him as Kazahana Koyuki watched.

  • Kimimaro killed the soldiers operating the kunai launchers, while Karin, Sasuke, and Haku defended the group from the barrage.
  • Senyo knocked Nadare Rōga unconscious, examined his Chakra Armor, and warned Sasuke against wasting Susanoo to block the kunai.
  • Senyo's Dojutsu Clone sabotaged the palace defenses as Senyo used Banshō Ten'in and Fire Release: Hōzuki Lantern to disrupt Kazahana Dōtō's soldiers.
  • Kazahana Dōtō detonated bombs beneath the palace and escaped through the roof in his winged Chakra Armor as Senyo and the others fell into the collapsing structure.
  • Kazahana Koyuki and Asama Shirou approached the palace and saw Senyo emerge as a flame to pursue Dōtō.
  • Senyo destroyed Dōtō's Twin Dragon Gale Kill, caught him in the air, and killed him with a touch to the forehead.

Ch. 847Land of Snow Treasure

Senyo defeated Kazahana Dōtō and offered to help Kazahana Koyuki take the throne in exchange for her necklace, the key to the Land of Snow’s treasure. He brought Koyuki and a few followers to the Rainbow Ice Wall, where she unlocked it, revealing a rainbow glow across the twelve ice walls.

  • Senyo arrived at the palace with Kazahana Dōtō’s corpse and met Kazahana Koyuki and her followers.
  • Senyo offered to support Koyuki’s rise as queen and asked for her necklace; she gave it to him.
  • Senyo explained that the treasure was not what Koyuki expected, then led her and three companions to the Rainbow Ice Wall.
  • Senyo examined a piece of crystal ore and noted its dense natural energy.
  • Koyuki inserted the necklace into the central opening, sending purple-white light through the array and illuminating all twelve ice walls with rainbow colors.

Ch. 848Geothermal Generator

Senyo activated the geothermal system beneath the Rainbow Ice Wall, revealing the Land of Snow’s Rainbow Crystal Walls and a message left by Kazahana Sōsetsu for his daughter. After Senyo explained the generator’s purpose, Kazahana Koyuki agreed to let Konoha use the area for training and prepare to reclaim her position.

  • Senyo contacted Orochimaru after finding a source of abundant natural energy, and Minato brought Orochimaru to the Land of Snow.
  • The geothermal system melted the ice around the Rainbow Ice Wall, exposing twelve Rainbow Crystal Walls that released vast natural energy and brought greenery back to the frozen land.
  • A recording showed young Kazahana Koyuki speaking with her father, Kazahana Sōsetsu, about her dreams, moving the present-day Koyuki to tears.
  • Senyo told Kazahana Koyuki that the geothermal system was her father’s legacy, and she recognized Minato as the Fourth Hokage.
  • Kazahana Koyuki granted Konoha use of the area for training and agreed that Minato could send jonin to help her take power.

Ch. 849Who Was Holding Whom Back

The Raikage’s Kumogakure group fled through the Land of Water as Hidden Mist Village pursued them, while Karatachi Yagura and Senyo revealed that the pursuit was being managed in rotating teams. The chapter ended with Karatachi Yagura leading a rested team back after Kumogakure, unaware that it had tied down far fewer Hidden Mist forces than it believed.

  • Kaifu sensed Hidden Mist Village’s pursuers, and the Raikage ordered Kumogakure to abandon its cooking fire and flee.
  • Killer B complained about being chased, and the Raikage explained that Kyōkotsu’s arrival had forced Kumogakure to retreat rather than carry out its plan.
  • Kaifu tried to reassure Killer B that Kumogakure was exhausting Hidden Mist Village by drawing more than fifty pursuers after fewer than ten ninja.
  • Karatachi Yagura asked Senyo whether he needed rest, and Senyo explained that his clone had gone without rest for more than ten days.
  • Karatachi Yagura met the fourth pursuit team, learned that Hidden Mist Village rotated four teams to chase Kumogakure, and set off after them.

Ch. 850Sage Talent

As Sasuke underwent a second Sage Technique imprinting near the Rainbow Crystal Wall, Senyo explained how his Dojutsu Clone could store Sage Chakra for Kimimaro and Haku. Karin asked to learn Sage Techniques too, and Senyo began testing her talent by infusing her with Sage Chakra.

  • Orochimaru began Sasuke’s second imprinting, and Sasuke endured the pain as black runes appeared across his body and drew in natural energy.
  • Kimimaro and Haku discussed how the area’s abundant natural energy could not be stored as Sage Chakra for long.
  • Senyo explained that a Dojutsu Clone could continuously gather and store Sage Chakra, then transfer it to Kimimaro and Haku.
  • Karin asked Senyo to teach her Sage Techniques because she did not want Sasuke to surpass her.
  • Senyo agreed to test Karin’s talent and infused a thread of Sage Chakra into her body.

Ch. 851The Name Was Too Ordinary

Senyo taught Karin the basics of Sage Chakra, while Kushina and Minato sealed the Rainbow Crystal Walls to keep natural energy from dissipating. Karin failed to sense natural energy, but Sasuke emerged in Sage Mode and learned he still had much training ahead.

  • Senyo helped Karin use Sage Chakra to strengthen her Water Arrow Technique and explained how to sense and absorb natural energy.
  • Minato, Kushina, and the Barrier Division erected the Barrier Sealing Technique around the Rainbow Crystal Walls, trapping the natural energy inside.
  • Kushina scolded Minato for proposing an absurdly long name for the barrier.
  • Karin failed to sense natural energy, and Senyo told her she lacked the aptitude for sage arts.
  • Orochimaru brought out Sasuke in Sage Mode, and Senyo explained that Sasuke still needed to absorb natural energy and solidify his seals.

Ch. 852Master Can

Senyo left Sasuke, Orochimaru, Minato, Kimimaro, and Haku to continue their training in the natural-energy-rich location, then returned to Konoha with Karin. At home, Karin asked Senyo to engrave her, but he refused until they were married and agreed only to move their wedding date up a little.

  • Senyo told Sasuke to remain in the area and practice Sage Mode, while Minato arranged for Naruto's Shadow Clones to serve as Sage Chakra batteries and planned for Yamato to build wooden houses.
  • Senyo told Karin she could undergo the Engraving Method, and Orochimaru said her Chakra and vitality made her an even better candidate than Sasuke.
  • Karin backed out after Orochimaru said she would need to be naked, then became interested again when he explained Senyo would perform the engraving.
  • Senyo left a Dojutsu Clone with the group, and Kimimaro and Haku chose to stay and cultivate while Minato used Flying Thunder God to take Senyo and Karin back to Konoha.
  • At home, Karin asked Senyo to engrave her, but Senyo refused until they were married and agreed to move the wedding date up a little.

Ch. 853Villagers of the Land of Fire Now

In the Land of Wind, Senyo and the allied shinobi completed a coastal desalination and water-distribution project, then began greening the desert. Senyo brought Karin to a village and revealed that its residents were now villagers of the Land of Fire.

  • Deidara used Dust Release to excavate a deep pit while Kurotsuchi assisted him and Iwagakure shinobi prepared the surrounding ground.
  • Senyo sent more than fifty Shadow Clones to help solidify the desert, and after a month he mastered Earth Release nature transformation.
  • Senyo traveled with Karin to the coast, where he activated the sluice gate and fresh water poured into the prepared channel.
  • Nawaki used Wood Release to grow trees in the designated area, transforming part of the desert into a lush forest.
  • Senyo took Karin to a village where residents collected water, then told her they were villagers of the Land of Fire now.

Ch. 854A Growing Desire to Retreat

Senyo explained how Konoha planned to win over neglected coastal villages in the Land of Wind by providing water and drought-resistant plants, while his Sage Chakra reserves and strength grew. In the Land of Water, the exhausted Raikage decided to abandon Kumogakure’s mission and retreat from the Hidden Mist pursuit.

  • Senyo told Karin that the coastal villagers had pledged allegiance to Konoha after being promised freshwater and green land, and he planned to offer free water to those who surrendered to the Land of Fire.
  • Senyo confirmed that his Sage Chakra storage was full, but his weak Yang attribute left him at a bottleneck on the path toward becoming a Kekkei Mōra.
  • Kaifu told the Raikage that the Hidden Mist forces were tracking Kumogakure and seemed intent on wearing them down.
  • The Raikage ordered Kumogakure’s exhausted forces to retreat, and they raced toward the coast.

Ch. 855The Shift from Defense to Offense

Karatachi Yagura and Senyo let the Hidden Mist pursuit force return while they prepared to stop Kumogakure from reaching home, sending Hyōri ahead to attack alone. As the Raikage’s group boarded a yacht and sailed from the Land of Water, two Tailed Beast Balls descended on them from the clouds.

  • Senyo detected Kumogakure’s retreat, and Karatachi Yagura ordered the Hidden Mist pursuit force to return.
  • Senyo and Kyōkotsu agreed to intercept the Raikage’s group while Hyōri traveled toward Kumogakure alone.
  • Senyo gave Karatachi Yagura Paper Release wings and explained that they would delay Kumogakure while Hyōri attacked.
  • Hyōri used Demonic Mirror Ice Crystals and then the shadows over the sea to speed toward Kumogakure.
  • The Raikage’s group summoned a yacht from a scroll and began sailing away from the Land of Water.
  • Kaifu spotted a Tailed Beast Ball, and Killer B and Darui prepared to intercept two descending Tailed Beast Balls.

Ch. 856Intercepting Kumogakure

Kyōkotsu and the Hidden Mist forces ambushed the Raikage’s fleet, destroying a vessel and battling Kumogakure’s shinobi and Tailed Beasts. With the Raikage losing ground and Killer B’s side gaining no advantage, the Raikage realized they had to retreat.

  • Kyōkotsu destroyed a Kumogakure vessel with bone spears after the Raikage’s forces survived the shockwaves from the Tailed Beast Balls.
  • Kyōkotsu introduced himself and fought the Raikage, eventually opening the Fifth Gate and gaining the advantage.
  • Killer B transformed into Gyuki while Karatachi Yagura and Senyo’s Isobu fought Gyuki and Darui’s Matatabi in the sea.
  • Senyo’s Isobu detonated a newly formed Tailed Beast Ball at close range, blasting Gyuki and Darui away while remaining unharmed.
  • The Raikage was sent flying by Kyōkotsu, and Killer B caught him as the Raikage decided Kumogakure had to leave.

Ch. 857Nibbling Away

The Raikage’s group fled after clashing with Senyo, Karatachi Yagura, and Kyōkotsu, while Hyōri continued toward Kumogakure. Meanwhile, Konoha’s desalination project persuaded more Land of Wind civilians to surrender, leaving the country’s territory gradually shrinking.

  • The Raikage, Killer B, Darui, and their group used a Concussion Grenade to escape the Hidden Mist pursuit, but the Raikage was injured in the fighting.
  • Senyo tracked the fleeing Kumogakure shinobi with the Mind’s Eye of the Kagura and ordered his group to follow from a distance.
  • The Kumogakure group paused to rest, then Kaifu sensed their pursuers and the Raikage ordered everyone to keep running.
  • Hyōri flew toward Kumogakure and used Wind Release: Gale Palm to increase his speed.
  • Konoha offered water and restored land to Land of Wind civilians who surrendered, prompting border communities to join the Land of Fire as its irrigation network spread.

Ch. 858Sage Art: Ice Release: Hailstorm Cloud Vortex!

Hyōri tested Kumogakure’s aerial defenses, then unleashed a colossal Sage Art that turned the clouds above the village into a descending vortex of ice and hail. Kumogakure descended into chaos as the storm battered the village and its people.

  • Hyōri sent a Shadow Clone toward Kumogakure, where mechanical platforms paralyzed it with volleys of light spheres, then hid in Boundless after dispelling it.
  • After Kumogakure’s search party returned, Hyōri used Sage Mode and Wind Release to create a vast cloud vortex above the village.
  • C sensed that the Chakra overhead surpassed a Tailed Beast Ball, and Mabui sounded Kumogakure’s highest-level evacuation alarm.
  • Hyōri released the Sage Chakra stored in his Yin Seal and stabilized the vortex, naming the technique Sage Art: Ice Release: Hailstorm Cloud Vortex!
  • Hyōri guided the five-kilometer-wide vortex toward Kumogakure, where freezing air, ice blades, and hailstones struck the village and plunged it into chaos.

Ch. 859Unstoppable

Hyōri unleashed a massive cloud vortex over Kumogakure, overwhelming the village while its Space-Time Chakra Cannons failed to stop him and burned out. After the storm dissipated, Kumogakure began assessing devastating losses, and a massive shadow descended from the horizon.

  • Kumogakure's Space-Time Chakra Cannons failed to disrupt the cloud vortex, so Yukubi ordered them to target Hyōri instead.
  • Hyōri drove the vortex toward Kumogakure, sending violent winds, hailstones, and ice blades down on the village.
  • Hyōri evaded the cannon barrage by entering Boundless, then continued the attack as all five cannons overloaded and failed.
  • Hyōri brought the vortex to the ground, fled into Boundless, and left Kumogakure devastated by the storm.
  • Mabui heard that more than two thousand civilians and around three hundred ninja had died, while a massive shadow descended from the horizon.

Ch. 860A Total Loss

Hyōri identified himself as a Water Clan survivor and warned that he would destroy Kumogakure if it attacked the Land of Water again. Meanwhile, the Raikage learned that Kumogakure had been devastated and Konoha was taking territory in the Land of Wind, leaving his mission with heavy losses and little gain.

  • Hyōri told Kumogakure that his attack was retaliation and a warning, then flew away.
  • Mabui ordered disaster relief and told the village to inform the Raikage and have him return immediately.
  • On the sea, Kaifu told the Raikage that Hidden Mist Village had likely stopped pursuing them, and the Raikage sent Kas to summon the Cloud Eagle and contact the village.
  • Kas reported that Hyōri had destroyed more than half of Kumogakure’s buildings and killed three thousand people.
  • Kas also reported that Konoha had occupied the coast of the Land of Wind and was offering civilians freshwater and help building oases.
  • The Raikage realized Hidden Mist Village’s pursuit had delayed his return, concluded Kumogakure had suffered a total loss, and ordered supplies sent to Sunagakure.
