Why were the Zerg called the Zerg?
The Zerg that appeared throughout the universe often had enormous mandibles, hard exoskeletons, and ferocious insect-like appearances.
Their biological forms and traits were also highly similar to those of insects, which was one of the important reasons they were called the Zerg.
If all animals were made the same size, then insects among the arthropods would definitely be among the strongest.
Under normal circumstances, insects' body structures made it difficult for them to grow too large, because their exoskeletons and muscles could not support excessively large bodies.
But the emergence of the RR virus had turned that impossibility into reality.
While other lifeforms on Earth underwent evolutionary mutations, these insects mutated as well and became one of the most terrifying monster groups.
They simply preferred living in vast wildernesses and jungles, so they were rarely seen in cities.
At first, Qin Mu had chosen Tiger Mastiffs as the Zerg's first combat unit.
Later, in order to expand the Swarm's size and combat power, he had continuously absorbed new Monster Genes.
The monsters appearing in cities were usually mutated from dogs, pigs, cattle, sheep, snakes, and other creatures commonly found in the human world during the Great Nirvana Period. To blend in better, Qin Mu had also chosen these most common monsters for large-scale incubation.
This choice had allowed the Swarm to blend seamlessly into the cities and remain undiscovered to this day.
But it had also greatly limited the Swarm's development.
When the Swarm's reach extended into the wilderness and it began hunting freely there, it discovered many more types of monsters, a considerable number of which were insect-type creatures.
These insect monsters were often stronger than monsters of the same level. However, for the sake of covert development, the Swarm had not
