The Swarm army set out, flying toward Blood Crane Territory from all directions, but it did not move quickly.
Along the way, it first subdued the invaded Source Worlds.
The world clusters invaded by Blood Crane Territory were still relatively fortunate. The vast majority of Source Worlds remained intact, and all Shadow Lord needed were the resources within those world clusters.
Namely, those special places.
This was the greatest blessing amid misfortune.
Not every race born from mysterious places enjoyed devouring Source Worlds. Most such races had joined the Innate Primordial Faction.
Compared to the regions occupied by Shadow Lord, the world clusters occupied by the Innate Primordial Faction were far more tragic.
Many Source Worlds had been directly destroyed.
Even if they had not been completely destroyed, most had had their origins devoured by those Innate Primordial Life forms, like shriveled oranges.
Under such circumstances, all life within those Source Worlds naturally perished!
There were not many World-level Primordials in the Innate Primordial Faction, but there were far too many High-level Primordials and Low-level Primordials.
When a Source World had no master, even High-level Primordials or Low-level Primordials could easily devour it. Moreover, as they devoured them, those Innate Primordial Life forms grew ever stronger.
Only a very few remote world clusters had narrowly escaped disaster.
There was no solution to such a situation.
They could only wait.
They had to rely on time to let the Source Worlds repair themselves, let the human Source Worlds enter destruction and a new cycle, then nurture life once more.
Only after establishing layered defensive lines outside each Source World and even beyond the entire territory did the Swarm continue advancing at an unhurried pace.
A journey that could have taken as little as ten thousand days still found the main Swarm
